Now that you have predominantly black basketball teams at pwi getting some shine and winning championships from South Carolina and LSU people got massive heartburn, extra scrutiny about every breath they take, people calling foul and attacking the players on and off the court from the style of play, their grades, their sexuality and the list goes on. Its not only outrageous, it's ridiculous to put out that kind of hate and subject these young ladies to backlash just because they have talent at a sport. They did the same thing when Vivian Stringer turned Rutgers into a competitive program. With all the media outlets now it's far worse and out in the open. These young ladies from both these schools are just trying to grow the game they love and put an entertaining quality product on the floor. And they can't even get any credit for that. They are being positioned as the protagonist villain in the story of the explosion of the women's game and having to subject their minds to double consciousness despite working just as hard to develop their skills as anyone else. The level of envy and jealousy and pure hate is other worldly and certainly uncalled for.
Lsu has players that have won the natty and those freshman and transfers that haven’t. Mulkey is concentrating on them being a cohesive unit more than anything. By the time the post season gets here, LSU ladies will be ready.

Mentally it's alot and you know in any field when a group of new faces are put together building chemistry can take time . If they loose I still think Angel being who she keeps the light on them its the under dog that won. I have a healthy respect for Dawn and South carolina but she did a poor job at adjusting to some simple things that iowa was consistently doing and she had the personnel to stop it . Tennessee scheduled very tough last year and when it started to go bad many said they shouldn't have but I think next season it will be tougher this is a gelling year.

They could have scheduled several winnable games that would have produced lots of fan interest. Arizona, Texas, Baylor. TCU with their transfers. An Ohio State or Michigan matchup would've been prime time must see. Top recruits will notice when Ole Miss is on National TV and LSU isn't.

South Carolina definitely isn't afraid of the smoke, so maybe Iowa is ducking them like other teams were the past few seasons because they didn't want to face Aliyah Boston. Viewers will know the difference between many of the cupcakes on this schedule (like Texas Southern) and Arizona when those LSU games end up on FloHoops instead of an ESPN channel. Or when they are on an ESPN channel and ESPN decides to switch to a men's game or another game because LSU is up 30 at halftime. To say Flaujea and Angel have done more than enough to help women's basketball shows a lack of understanding on where women's basketball is and where women would like to grow the sport.
