I've seen a review where the wing joint connecting to the backpack broke. It didn't look like Bandai made the peg strong enough to support all that Dragoon weight. Please be careful if you didn't already know about this potential issue!
@Albicrane usually what I do just out of habit is I go back to that part with a touch up gundam marker. If its really noticeable, then I just paint the entire piece. At least thats how I do it, theres most likely more way. Hope I was able to help you out.
Since the LED is orange, you might want to paint the cameras clear blue and definately the one's on the rifles. Also probably want to paint the gold on the Dragoons (there's a nasty dull gold part visible if you look on Dalong)
No, most of gundam plastic kits don't require glue for assembling. This includes the most expensive perfect grades, like the one in the video. But you will need patience and attention. You can look up on google about how to properly assemble a kit.
I think the 'bad' gold was a very conscious choice by Bandai. It looks like it's not GPS vulnerable plastic as well as it probably cuts down the cost of the kit by about 20-30 dollar.
@gladion00 isnt that what they are doing with their kits??compared to the past years,the cost of all kits including BB,SD,HG,MG and PG are keep increasing. . .
after personally building it myself I can confidently put the rumor of the crappy gold complaints down. At least 98% of the crappy gold is covered in the "nice" gold which is surprising because looking at the plates initially it seems that there will be crappy gold all over the place, but after finishing the entire model the nice gold comes out very very very very nicely. All of the crappy gold is for the inner frame later covered by the nice gold on top of it.
@MNRedRyder ALRIGHT! thx! XD i bought some gundam markers before.. (and i still have them) but i had no idea how to use them xd now it gives them a use rather then sitting there doing nothing =D
i can live with the fact that not all plates are shiny. it would be way more expensive that way, i know from my strike freedom full burst mode that they are pretty sensitive and honestly? i think it makes for a nice contrast to have different shades of gold. i think its enough if the most important parts are shiny
Why are so many people disappointed with the fact that not all the gold parts are actual shiny plated gold? At the very least, many of the exposed parts will be plated - the MG was lacking in that sense, but why not wait and see if this is remedied with the PG? And if the ENTIRE INNER FRAME was gold-plated, what would happen is: 1 - The price tag of this kit would likely double, and we'd be looking at a $600 PG. And, 2 - Were you actually planning to display the kit naked, WITHOUT armor?
It's better that the frame's frosty gold for people who DO want to paint it, rather than chrome gold where you'd need to strip it all. Plus chrome just ups the price anyways...
@W0Rd0n32sTre3T - Well then, that's fine. For those that actually have the money to spare for this, and the drive to complain about what they bought, surely they must have the money to spare for gold paints, and the drive to paint the parts.
@StrikeFreedom555 For anyone that's willing to spend this much on a model, I would gladly pay a bit more for the extra gold. You have to understand the market that they are aiming at. For the die hard modeler, I highly doubt that they will complain about a bit more for higher quality.
Some people may not like chrome, some people probably like to paint their models, not to mention it would be way more expensive, also if your not buying it, dont complain about it. >.>
@StrikeFreedom555 It's a PERFECT GRADE, they're charging you over 200 for it, bandai has to cut the crap out and give what you paid for. It's like a cheeseburger with a half a slice of cheese, I know the thoughts unbearable to me to.
regarding pg destiny or IJ I'd be surprised if they made a PG destiny because of it's wings... considering how massive they are already on 1/100 scale I don't hate CE but would not like it if they made a pg IJ... athrun doesn't deserve that kind of treatment.
please don't panel line this, rrobbert184!!!!! I saw Prime92's build... out of curiosity... but yeah. Panel lining just makes the kit seem more like a toy.. it doesn't look good IMO. at least, if you do.. do it with a really nice airbrush. I can just picture a super-fine airbrush. Just barely noticable.. that would be a beautiful job. nothing I would do. But I would go over the gold parts with an extra finish gold. All the gold parts. well, I'd do my homework and make sure I do it right.

I'd recommend painting the crummy gold part since you've already had some experience with painting.
Since the LED is orange, you might want to paint the cameras clear blue and definately the one's on the rifles. Also probably want to paint the gold on the Dragoons (there's a nasty dull gold part visible if you look on Dalong)
@StrikeFreedom555 I guess the metalic gold parts [G plates] is a replacement for the Metal parts not with PGs anymore?
@Albicrane Hey no problem. Yea the gold gundam marker REALLY comes in handy with Strike Freedom ;D

also, are you planning on uploading the mg strike freedom review any time soon?
I think the 'bad' gold was a very conscious choice by Bandai. It looks like it's not GPS vulnerable plastic as well as it probably cuts down the cost of the kit by about 20-30 dollar.
3 shades of different gold titanium paints will make this look even better
i'm planning to get another and custom black/grey/blue/red it over the gold
@dennycakep true, but then the cost would probably be raised to 30k yen, a super insane price
@soranishcool is that a hobby shop or website??
Wait, there's a shop that'll plate your plates? O_O
@gladion00 isnt that what they are doing with their kits??compared to the past years,the cost of all kits including BB,SD,HG,MG and PG are keep increasing. . .
@Albicrane What do you use to get the parts out?
after personally building it myself I can confidently put the rumor of the crappy gold complaints down. Is it possible to buy sperated peices there 2 peices that is messed up and i need new one
So, most important question:
How was the Gundam X manga?
try the lighting strike freedom.
@MowatMan
I'm wondering the same thing. I hope he dosen't forget that one for this.
@StrikeFreedom555 Naw I got master grade version, how's warrock did you quit?
I was looking at dalong.net the wing look similar to MG SF so they might get broken easily if not careful.
@infinitesaviour49 hey I'm in Singapore.
Where's the shop??
were is the model review?
@tapsellry1 Yea i believe it was 55 runners
so..?? are you gunna hurry and built or do other kits?
try the light strike freedom
if it ok to ask but how much is it to get and if it ok can you say it in uk money
does it need glue?
@StrikeFreedom555 It makes sense looking as those not visible wouldnt nid the nice gold while those ppl WOAH at are so shinnyyyy!!!!!!
is dragoon's gold in real grade are more shinier gold than perfect grade.
@MNRedRyder ALRIGHT! thx! XD i bought some gundam markers before.. (and i still have them) but i had no idea how to use them xd now it gives them a use rather then sitting there doing nothing =D
reason as to why bandai doesn't make them into chromish shiny gold is that the plastic they use for those parts are brittle... the plastic that is...
i can live with the fact that not all plates are shiny. it would be way more expensive that way, i know from my strike freedom full burst mode that they are pretty sensitive and honestly? i think it makes for a nice contrast to have different shades of gold. i think its enough if the most important parts are shiny
Mathias it will be very expensive kit the phenx gundam pg is $400 cuz of the shiny gold
@scopeeyevideo that's what i'm talking about.
if they give you a better product.
they would INCREASE the price.
bandai knows how to think.
damn is it your period month?
@mkll8135 no..it's in singapore lol..
This looks really fun to build.

i cant wait for this review, i hope youre more satisfied with this than 00 raiser..
It's better that the frame's frosty gold for people who DO want to paint it, rather than chrome gold where you'd need to strip it all. Plus chrome just ups the price anyways...
the different tones of colors wont matter if you paint it
I think I'm used to your new intro now.
that is alota plates makes my mg blue frame look like a high grade in plate amount
Here comes another 10 month wait! =P
Also, nice bit a the end. XD
@Gundamsandrcjets I want PG 00 Quan [T]
i like how u did the shinn scream XD
Be careful about the wings, I heard they are very fragile
It is 55 plates. The biggest PG Bandai have ever created so far.
it looked good but the plates with the bad gold are the reason i was hesitant on buying it
@SoranIshCool it's cheaper if i order in my local hobby shop they sell everything at 20% but i'm a special customer i get 40% ^^
@W0Rd0n32sTre3T - Well then, that's fine. For those that actually have the money to spare for this, and the drive to complain about what they bought, surely they must have the money to spare for gold paints, and the drive to paint the parts.
@thamidislam still processing
10 years after
@ckaicydek
1 - Probably.
2 - Yes.
imagin if u compare PQ strike freedom with dendrobium that would be epic o3o
@StrikeFreedom555

Poor shin. 1st stella and now perfect grade treatment.
looks great!
@strikefreedom555:this is just our personal thought. . .whats the point of you being so pissed off just because of a toy!
A bling ABS? KEWL!
dear god thats so many plates
if BANDAI wants to make the name "PERFECT GRADE" stands out they should make all those gold plates to chrome gold
Definitely worth it as an end result :D
Some people may not like chrome, some people probably like to paint their models, not to mention it would be way more expensive, also if your not buying it, dont complain about it. >.>
cannonfodder4000 the flat gold looks fine to me I'll be getting one cuz I love building them
After seeing this stuff. I kinda wish it was the I-Justice.
@StrikeFreedom555 It's that expensive already, maybe they should have delivered a better product at that price.
destuny and infinite justice should team up on PG strike freedom
^^
damn thats a big kit
Man I wish I could afford one of these
All hail strike-freedom ^^ i'm gonna buy one maybe next month haha
thumbs up if the tips of all your fingers were sore after putting together this model
Geezus Yamato!
You'll have to w8 5-10 more years, Destiny....
are you rich?
impressive already baised on the plates
@StrikeFreedom555 It's a PERFECT GRADE, they're charging you over 200 for it, bandai has to cut the crap out and give what you paid for. It's like a cheeseburger with a half a slice of cheese, I know the thoughts unbearable to me to.

...I must be an effing masochist for watching this entire review. XD
i want this soooooo bad
THATs ... alot of parts
Now after this part review, I feel 25000 for this PG of this quality is not worth it.
please don't panel line this, rrobbert184!!!!!
