We used Fatmat RattleTrap to achieve a 25% reduction in road noise in the cockpit area. This sound deadening can also be applied in your van, fifth wheel, or DIY custom conversion.
    We're embracing the next chapter by simplifying our lives, exploring our dreams, and connecting with what truly matters.

    I didn’t realize Motorhomes had that much engine noise. Great solution! 👍

      Hi Randi - our Class A is older so we're not sure if the newer ones have less engine noise or not?

      Yeah but the orginal test was with the engine cover off and then with engine cover on and sound proofed. Should of shown us with engine cover on with no insulation

    Cool! I wonder if I could use that stuff behind my bird's cage in my apartment on that removable wallpaper to help with his noise lol.

    Nice clean looking job Lance, looks like a great noise reducer for any vehicle interior.✌

      Thanks James! Yes, this product works great for any vehicle. I imagine this would do some wonders on classic muscle cars but I'm not sure if you would want to dampen the sound of a purring V-8 :)

    Please any updates... Will you eventual put more deadening material on the underside of the cover/dog house?

    • @CrazyEmptyNest
      @CrazyEmptyNest  3 года назад

      Hi Campos - we never did put more material on the underside, we would assume that would lower the db levels even lower.

    I was wondering if you did it on the inside how would that be? Looking at getting a step van and thought of that stuff.

    • @CrazyEmptyNest
      @CrazyEmptyNest  3 года назад

      Hi Ian - we think you'd have the same result, the deadening material works no matter if it's on the inside or the outside. We've seen videos of people lining the entire inside of their vans with this stuff and it significantly lowers the noise and db levels.

    At the intro, I was going to say: The reason it is so loud is because you don't have the cover on! Lol

    can you do the inside of the dog house as well?

    • @CrazyEmptyNest
      @CrazyEmptyNest  3 года назад +1

      Absolutely! Great idea! Just test it first on the lip of the doghouse to make sure it will fit back into place with the Fat Trap underneath. Ours is a tight fit with the doghouse cover we made out of wood.
