@ I’m not sure, there are several blankets shown in the pattern. It also depends on what kind of yarn you are using. I would say most patterns will have 5-7 repeats. 😊
I’m so glad I found your channel. Love the thorough explanations. Also, you Are the creator that I have seen pause and lay the workout and really show what it looks like as you go along and that is so helpful to me because usually I’m trying to freeze the video in the perfect spot so that I can see with the stitches look like to make sure I did it correctly. I wish people would slow down a bit. Thank you so so much!
Love this tutorial. So easy to follow especially for someone like myself who normally has trouble focusing on instructions and following written direction. Thank you so much for this, I enjoy your traditional style of teaching. A tip from somone like me with focus issues, watch the section without crocheting and then rewind and crochet along. I slow the speed of the videos down in settings under playback speed at the bottom right corner of the video if I am moving slower than the teacher, which helps too. Crochet is a journey, not a destination. It's ok not to get a section correct on the first few tries as long as you keep going. Take breaks and return to the video as needed. :) but that's just my opinion.
i had this issue aswell. at the end of row 5 i was slip stitching into the top of the chain 3, when your actually supposed to slip stitch into the top of the 3dc tog. this way you wont have an extra stitch when you do your single crochets. hope this helps!

Love the pattern! I just wanted to make sure that from here, at the end of round nine, that I would start to repeat the pattern from rounds 2-7, starting with double crochets in each of the single crochets I just completed? Thanks in advance!
Thank you so much for the tutorial! It was amazing. I would really love one for round two. Even after watching this, I’m still having some trouble reading the pattern.
@@QueenCheeks it’s not stable for blankets. It’s a good technique for amigurumi but I don’t think a whole blanket, because of the way it’s used and how it will inevitably stretch, should depend on one thread of yarn holding it together. I also think pulling it tight and closing the hole contributes to the stress on the center ring and might cause it to pop. I hope that helps.
@ my final project is complete and I LOVE it. There were some mistakes made as this is my first project in anything other than straight across but I just adore it. Thank you!!!

For this blanket I got cake yarn but it’s a gradient! I’m using Yarnspirations BERNAT perfect phasing in color aquatic (it’s 6 weight) so far I love how it looks.
Im really struggling with round 7.. if there are 4 st before the join and 4 st after, then I slip stitch one forward, then I do 3 DC I only end up at the end of the row, not the center stitch, so i would either need to do a 4th DC or skip a stitch. I feel like i must be missing something but ive rewatched like 15 times and i cant figure it out. any help would be appreciated

beautifully explained... all important points addressed... doubts, if any, cleared... color changes are awesome... totally brilliant work thank you so much for taking the time to do this video..:)
I have been following the pattern you have posted and noticed that the last 2 stitch counts for round 4 look off. I wanted to know if I missed something.
hi, betty :) i’m on setup 7 and although i have 8 stitches between every three in the peaks, the dc 4, skip 2, dc 4 more isn’t lining up correctly. what could i have done to ruin this? everything was adding up until setup round 7, so i’m not sure how to correct my mistakes if round 6 looks right :( i see you working overtime in these comments, and i greatly appreciate your dedication to helping everyone :)
@ yes! i still have 4 stitches to dc in after the slip stitch, it’s the 4 on the way down that gets messed up because if i skip 2, there will only be 2 more spaces to fill
amazing tutorial !! love your personality and the way you explain why you choose to do the the techniques you do (e.g. no magic ring, no knotting, etc). Next time i go to the craft store im picking up yarn for this project for sure! i am not the biggest fan or weaving in ends so this will be my first time trying color changing/ multi color yarn, as i feel this pattern has such a beautiful intricate design that would suit that well. Thank you so much !!
I know that this is probably a silly question, but I’m gonna ask anyway, because I’m new at teaching my own self how to knit. Can you also make this pattern knitting?😊
I never thought I would have the desire to try such a large project. Blankets were on my 'never will I' list. But this gorgeous design has me excited to go for it! This will challenge me in so many ways. Thank you for a beautiful design & great tutorial.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I find videos so much easier to follow, so I can crochet along. I've set myself the task of making this blanket with DK yarn and just adding more rounds, so we'll see how it goes! ❤
Hi! I've been trying this pattern over and over but every time i get to the end of round 7 i only have 1 stitch left to skip instead of 2. The stitches line up correctly otherwise but every time i get to the end of a round where you have to skip 2 stitches i only have 1, any ideas why this would be happening ? Thanks !
@@Asher_masc i ended up joining the facebook group to post pictures and get some advice, but they told me on there that my work was actually correct. It's a little hard to explain but basically it just looks like you're only skipping one stitch at the end but it is actually 2. In the previous round you slip stitch to join and then slip stitch into the next stitch, which means you're now starting in the second stitch of the row below, so when you go to join the row you can count that first slip stitch as the skipped stitch. I know this is a lot of words and probably makes no sense lol but if you're in the same boat as me your work is probably fine ! I continued on after and haven't had any issues
Is it okay if I just crochet 14 dc into the hole and connect my rounds at the first double crochet. Counting a chain as a dc is very awkward for me. I’m use to started my circles off the same way but not the counting a chain as a stitch part.
I am trying to do round one, but the double crochet looks messed up, but I am doing it correctly and have looked it over multiple times. Any tips for this? Thankyou.
@@lukestrong4833 practice your double crochets in a straight line over and over until you feel confident. Then go nice and slow as you practice crocheting them in a circle and they are going to look a little funny at first sometimes I think, depending on how thick the yarn you are using, as well as the tension. There is no harm either in starting over your blanket several times until you’re happy with the first row. Then you can go on from there and work on your second row and often times I leave a stitch marker in my first row so that if I don’t like my next row I can go back to the last one I left off on. Yes, this means I take forever on projects, but I think not being afraid to go back leaves me happier with my end results
Another thing I will say is don’t be afraid to use 1 million stitch markers. I think I bought a 100 pack off of Amazon and there are some days where I have 20 stitch markers in my project to help me count properly.
my round six seems to just not seem right. i’ve done it a few times now but when i go to do round seven im always a stitch behind and uts like i have an extra one! totally my own fault i just have no idea where to fix it
I'm loving this blanket so far!! While the project is working up fine, I do have a little bit of an issue with the tutorial/pattern. I suffer from a learning disability so it can be a little difficult to learn thing new. Many directions in this pattern are unclear and caused me to have to watch sections of the video 5 or 6 times to really understand what is going on. Overall, a little more detail into the wording of directions would go a long way!! But in the meantime, I'll continue this pattern because it's just so darn cute!!
Hello there! I am stuck on round 3, I am having a hard time understanding the pattern. I did purchase it. What part of the video can I watch to help me? Thank you!!!
I had to do round 3, three times and somehow When I am at the end now I have one Stich left(and I don’t mean this slip-stitch hole I mean and actual Stich). So when I connect it it leaves a hole. But I looked at everything closely and I did everything right. So I don’t know where the mistake is.

I’ve been eyeing this video for weeks but have been too intimidated until I saw a TikTok with your username tagged. The blanket was beautiful. It only took five minutes for me to know this was going to be my next project. Finished all set-up rows in one sitting. You’re such a good teacher, and move with purpose. I am an intermediate beginner and think this is perfect for anyone wanting to start their first big project. Love and thanks from Georgia ❤️❤️
Wow thank you so much for this glowing review. I am so glad you found the video helpful. I look forward to seeing your finished blanket. ❤️
Ahhh thank you for posting this! I was following the other crochet alongs but I had to refer the the pattern a lot which was difficult for me. this one is SO clear! Thank you again :)
My videos are not meant to be standalone. I believe I say that in every single one. You really should follow the pattern because there’s a lot of information that I don’t give here. I hope that helps.

I’m so excited to try this for myself this weekend! I’m a complete novice to crochet but I’ve found so far that by lifting the stitch marker upwards, like slightly pulling at the yarn, and putting the hook directly underneath with the hook itself pointing downwards, I get a clean entry to slip stitch smoothly. I hope you see this and that hopefully helps! Thank you for inspiring me!

but that's just my opinion.

Hey! I wanted to know why you don't recommend doing a magic circle to start off blankets?
@@QueenCheeks it’s not stable for blankets. It’s a good technique for amigurumi but I don’t think a whole blanket, because of the way it’s used and how it will inevitably stretch, should depend on one thread of yarn holding it together. I also think pulling it tight and closing the hole contributes to the stress on the center ring and might cause it to pop. I hope that helps.

@@ebeerose7659 I'm having the same problem, did you manage to fix it?

@@roe2637 sure! I think that’s an okay adjustment to make as long as your counts work out correctly.
Great tips thank you for chiming in ❤️
