Hi! First thanks for the free patterns, video tutorials, and replying to questions! I’m working on the first of row 5 of the repeat rounds and cannot understand why I would have 10 stitches (scs from round 4) when the previous granny clusters have three sets of three. the sc I get is 9 along with the two dc3tog. @@BettyMcKnit thank you for your reply. I will try to post a pic on FB. The three sets of three I’m referring to are the granny clusters. Hi! Quick question. Why an even number on the peak of round 7? (4 sc) In my decades of crochet, I've never seen this. It's always an odd number so you can increase evenly in the middle stitch or, if even number, add unto the space. The math seems wrong, but it's working!🤔🤪🧶

Hey,
hope you are all having a lovely day or night xx
To any crochets out there, I have started making this blanket but I have found that the blanket is curling in on itself, when it is stretched out it is fine though. I was just wondering it this is due to it needing to be blocked or if I have made a mistake xx
any advice is greatly appreciated xx
You should not be experiencing curling at this stage. Make sure your stitch counts are correct and if they are consider changing to a .5mm larger hook.
Hi, I'm on round 2 of round 5 and wgen i get to the peak i jave one more stitch then normal, my stitch count only works when i I don't do that extra sl st , what am i doung wrong????😢😢
@@chloec1892 you’re creating an extra stitch at the join probably, working into the sl st instead of the stitch.
Thx for the advice ,i hope it works.
Hello thank u for the video but Im trying to find the part u said which round we repeat.
My question: which round do we repeat?😭
2-7
So all you would do is repeat these steps to continue the blanket to the width desired, or is there another part I'm missing?

I’m on my second time around of rounds 2-7 but I was wondering if I would be able to just keep doing round 2 and 3 over and over until I reach my desired size for the blanket? Would it throw off the star pattern? Thank you!
@@haley7706 the star doesn’t lend itself well to adaptation. The increases happen in the sc and dc rounds so I don’t think it would work.

@@gracenelson7850 it depends on what size blanket you want and how heavy the yarn is that you are using.

I’m really confused I finished the entire video and went to repeat and I did a the pattern and when I’m going down the peak I have space for an extra dc 3 cluster while going up I don’t. Can someone help?
you might be doing your peak stitches one set earlier than you're meant to (disclaimer that I'm still a beginner crocheter, and this is my first time making this blanket)
i need help!!!!! so i’m on round 8 (3dc, sk 2, 3dc) and im about to finish the round but there’s 3 sts left instead of 2. the rest of the sts are lined up and i’ve counted 2 times and i have the right amount of sts but i don’t know what i did wrong!! can i skip the 3 sts and slip sitch into the 3dc cluster? will it affect the end result? if i cant skip the 3 sts, how can i fix it without frogging?

hi! does anyone have the count for the starter round 9. or what the end count of your first “round 2” should be? i seem to be getting my first “peak” in the 2nd stitch not the 3rd in the 4 single crochets. i’ve been reading the pattern and watching the videos and frogging SO MANY TIMES. i’m an hour into trying to figure out why this isn’t working with all counts seeming to be correct and am losing my mind. also i don’t have facebook so I can’t go to the group for help.
First, I suggest walking away from the project right now because you sound really upset. Take a break, take a walk, and come back. If you still don’t see what happened, email me a photo and I’ll see if I can help you figure it out. ☮️
Hi can someone help me I’m on round 7 for the second time and I’m not sure how many stitches I should have between peaks
Me toooooo😭😭
Hi curious if your pdf pattern has a stitch count included in it? I find it helpful to know which rows should be ending with which amount of stitches. Been finding some troubles and having to frog a bunch because something is going wrong after row 4 of the repeat. Trying to join the FB group but haven't been accepted yet. TY for the amazing patterns though!!
@@Dingy-uz1yy I believe the stitch counts are included on website and pdf - both versions are the same.
@@BettyMcKnit Ah okay so we're supposed to have 10 single crochet (from round 4) on each side between the mountains then? And then the next time its 16, 22 etc Okay that makes sense now I think I went with 22 single crochet because originally I thought we had to have one of those numbers for the pattern to work. I'm silly lol
Thank you!!
Hi, I was starting my 1st repeat round for row 4 and i only ended up with 19 going up . How can I fix the stitch count?
I would suggest going back and finding the mistake in order to fix it.

In round 4, I find when I do 10 dc (including the chain 3 to start) I end up being 1 short when I get to the first peak to be able to dc into the centre sc, am I meant to miss one there or have I gone wrong?
Did you remember to sl st first? Did you work extra sc into the sl st or ch 1?
I have a question so on my repeated round 8 when I came across the slip stich that ended my repeated round 2 there was 8 spaces instead of 9 like the rest of the row is that supposed to be like that or did I do something wrong
Let me know if I confused u
You did, idk what you mean by spaces, and you shouldn’t be repeating setup round 8.
So when you repeat round 3, you do the 3dc in 4 spaces on each side right??

Hi! Quick question. Why an even number on the peak of round 7? (4 sc) In my decades of crochet, I've never seen this. It's always an odd number so you can increase evenly in the middle stitch or, if even number, add unto the space. The math seems wrong, but it's working!🤔🤪🧶
@@rhondalea4450 it makes the math work out, and it helps keep the work from leaning to the right which it still will do if you keep going far enough.
@BettyMcKnit Ahhh! I thought it might be a "leaning" issue. Thank you for the quick response. 👍
@@rhondalea4450 you can also turn the work when you change colors if you want :)
