Listening to Dean Johnson's unusual voice, it sounded like he was going to go off-pitch in a few places, but he didn't. He pulled off really nice harmonies with the vivacious and talented Esther Rose. Wonderful, plaintive harmonies.
While seeking out Dean Johnson (Caleb and Reeb suggested), I discovered Esther Rose. She has some really solid tunes of her own. It was one of those moments I was so thankful I have this beautiful music my life. This was great.
The harmonies on this are just sublime, so different from the same old-same old, and the words hit hard. I always like Esther Rose's singing, especially when she stays close to her Americana-ish roots (whatever that means). I can't believe I missed seeing her when she played just down the street here in Baton Rouge. I hadn't hear Dean Johnson before, but this is a perfect pairing!
This may seem irrelevant yet it is so comforting to watch humans whos eye blinking exists by what might be considered enough, not to much, balanced. In combination with the melody and beautiful harmonies ethereal! Watch individuals with material positions of credibility and especially in relation to "authoritative" for context on "eye blinking"
