I’m just tryna figure out if I want the msi ge66 raider, Razer blade 15, or the Asus ROG Zephyrus g14. I want to play league and probably some cod but I also need it for college. I don’t want the fans goin off while I’m working in class and I need it to be reliable but also great for gaming 😂 I can’t make up my mind. I heard razers heat up a lot and I just can’t find out which one I need lol

Got this laptop yesterday and all I can say is that hands down this is the best laptop I've ever used considering I owned like 10 laptops.Although as a CS student and a developer,I use my laptop almost 10 hours in a day and I can easily tell that battery life is really bad.Getting like 3 hours with really light usage is just below average. So if you want this laptop as a content creator like me,you will definitely have to carry around your charger.Other than that, amazing device overall !

You cannot tell on a video. His video editing and youtube both change the actual colors.
I switched to IPS panels a year ago, it's a deal breaker tbh. Just can't go back to tn knowing how pretty IPS panels are...

A couple months ago I had to get rid of it cause of financial issues but i still watch your content every new video keep up the good work and you inspire me to learn more about computers even without one of my own!

I had an ASUS K53S . Really old laptop...Now i Switched to MSI GE63 RGB 8RE (GTX 1060) and with this screen I can see what you were talking about. It's and AMAZING Laptop over all. (highly recommended)

So make sure you buy the 1070 gpu version so you can make the best out of the 120 Hz screen... otherwise you won't
I own the GTX 1060 model. It easily beats 120 fps in most of the titles I'm playing
Yeah it makes a very small difference.
Honestly, using the 1060 version 90-100 fps is amazing to me still.
I get 80-100 fps average on gta v with near max settings, (depends on how many players are playing with me.)
It pays to have the screen because there's no tearing, and it's super smooth always

@@Mairesist It can get pretty loud, especially on turbo boost. The 1070 gpu variant has bad thermals though. I'd just use your money to get a new RTX laptop instead of one of these. They have better thermals and performance.

It's also out in Germany. The 1080p version should be better than the last ones 1080p version 'cause it has an IPS panel. (Well I hope it's better and good enough so I don't have to go with the more expensive 4k variant)

2:00 it only gets dim like that from a low angle, it actually has really impressive viewing angles from the top and sides

There is never a laptop that can satisfy your desires, like you name it Perfect Gaming Laptop, Best Screen Laptop, Best Value Laptop and stuff like that and when I'm to make my decisions on buying or not and you are like, nah this part is not good on this, also that thing can be better
Its actually good that you are 100% honest but sometimes you make very big deal out of small stuff and that confuses people
He's pointing out the biggest flaws in every product so his viewers can make their own conscious decision. It's impossible for him to know what every individual viewer wants in a laptop, so he can only do his best to be as thorough as possible. Plus, he does comparison videos once in a while for products with similar functions and at a similar price point, and these videos are somehow still a rarity in the abundance of tech reviews we have these days.
Well you can get a laptop with almost no flaws but you have to pay 3k or more.
I bought a GE63vr today with 32gb RAM, GTX1070, 256SSD, 1TB HDD and I'm impressed. The sound is actually good with two mid range speakers and two subs. I almost got an Acer Predator 15 but the MSI seemed better value for the same price and had a 1070 vs the Acer's 1060. The panel is amazing. Get one, you won't regret it.

92JinKazama The 120hz panel makes a huge difference and doesn't hurt your eyes. I adjust the brightness down a bit because it can be quite bright.

Ravi Raj get the old dell inspiron with the 960m they often go on sale for 700$ and sometimes even 600$ it's probably the best performance you're gonna get without compromising some of the little quirks like screen, battery, and keyboard all too much
Look for a used dell Inspiron 7567 with GTX 1050 or 1050ti
The new one, the 7000 series is also 700$ now.
Sajid is right. Dell Inspiron with a 1050TI is seriously the best value. Do not get an older, cheaper 960m laptop; it's just not worth it.

Absolutely great on every level.
Excellent keyboard and speakers (although some may disagree about speakers), excellent cooling (I have never seen temperatures over 70 celcius during games especially after undervolting), excellent screen for games (and Windows) with accurate colors and above-average viewing angles, build quality is good as the laptop feels sturdy enough (I take extreme care of it), battery life is BAD out of the box (3.5 hours) but very very good after a few tweaks (I'm currently hitting 7.5 hours in a full day class). It's a fingerprint magnet so make sure you keep the MSI cloth and use it for cleaning. It's been a month using the second unit (First had a defective screen with dead pixels, had to return it), and it's working flawless as of now.

Would you mind explaining how you got 7.5 hours out of this ? i have tried undervolting in the past without much success . i literally get 2 hours with battery saver on and on eco profile... i have the 1070 version and i love the performance but i can assure you that the charging brick *literally brick size* could be a deal breaker for people since it weights so much and it is so large.

Yogi7X TV .true . I got the dell7559 in June for 82k . But still I got it fully upgrade with a 4k screen 16gb ram and an extra 128gb ssd with the hard drive . The hard drive is kinda slow because it is 5200 rpm. But got a fine deal. Try looking for the Acer Helios 300 on Flipkart . Good deal .

Not enough manufacturers make OLED screens in moderate sizes. At the moment, Samsung and LG make OLED panels, LG make primarily ones for larger screens i.e. TVs and Samsung is more known for smartphone displays.

Some found models with IPS displays, but if the color reproduction is higher than most laptops with IPS panels I don't mind this (although IPS is still preferred)
Is it even worth to buy i7-7700hq? Soon intel will give us better cpu for laptops and Ryzen will come to laptop market as well.
If you look at intel's performance history on CPU's, there is usually a small difference between new and previous ones.
Cooling a 4 core, low tdp I7 7700Hq is quite a challlenge, I dont know how are they going to cool those 6 cores Rizen Cpus, they will need bigger laptops, some insane next gen air cooling solutions, or going full hely mode with the fans.
It's probably going to be a mix of that.
+CptHuggyFace - The 'U' series got nice upgrate tho (dual to quad core), I can't believe it will remain 4 quad for hq series as it is now.
By soon, you must expect one year between release and new laptops with that cpu

aravind senthil If you're referring to me, not at all! Not having G-Sync means Optimus is enabled and the laptop can use the intel iGPU when on battery and save more juice. I'm hardly noticing any tearing when games are running at 120fps, in this case G-Sync is just a luxury for those who don't care about battery life.

I just got this one in today and since I'm used to pretty old computers I was stunned by what it can do. I got the gtx 1070 which is amazing! The only thing I didn't like is the touchpad position, it screws my mouse up when I rest my wrist on the laptop because my wrist touches it sometimes. Thanks for the video, it made me purchase it :)

I've realized that TN on a laptop is actually pretty good for privacy reasons. Since laptop is designed to be used in public the poor viewing angles makes it hard for the people around you to see what you're doing, kinda like ATM screens.
I have the 1070 version and the screen is legitimately very very good, it looks so much better than my 24inch 1080p LG monitor. Not just the refresh rate but the high colour accuracy.

review a clevo laptop, clevo is a company that actually makes the laptops that some brands as acer sell, they have the special way of selling by letting you choose what to put in your pc, this allowes you to customise it to your budget preferences and priorities or buy it without stuff such as ram hard drives and ssd's and install them yourself to safe that extra money. they also come with windows and office as an option that allready safes you 200-350 bucks. now may call me weird since other 'repetitive' brands sell the same for around the same price this (if you live in europe) is the only way to get a laptop with equal performance for the same price as you guys over sea in america without paying 200+ more

I would like to point out, at 2:54 you mention that getting a 1080 in a laptop is pointless if it a 60hz refresh rate, only agree if the screen is 1080p. If you had a 4k panel, and a 1080, obviously you have more power to run the pixels. But I think you just forgot the word 1080p in that statement. I personally prefer 4k 60hz, over 1080 144hz. I like image quality, and as long as I can hit 60hz im fine, smooth as butter. Not as smooth as it could be, but then I sacrifice image quality, as 4k 144hz panels don't quite exist yet.

Purchased my MSI GE73VR Raider Pro S1 in Jan 2018... I can say without a doubt that with the prices of GPUs and Ram for desktops, this GE73 is the best performance for the money you can get. Maybe if the market changes and GPUs and Ram becomes normal priced again, then a desktop will be a great option... BUT for the money no desktop can touch this laptops performance :)
Newegg has this laptop with a 7th Gen i5 and a 1070 for $1500. Thats gonna be my new laptop upgrade. Cant wait
