  • This fudge tastes like a peanut butter cup that is slightly soft. Super easy to make in under 5 minutes and ready in a couple of hours.
    Peanut Butter Cup Fudge
1 16 oz (450g) container Milk Chocolate Frosting
    1 1lb (450g) Peanut Butter
Empty both ingredients into a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 2 minutes
Stir until completely mixed and then pour into a wax paper lined cake pan. Refrigerate until firm (approx 2 hours). Store in airtight container in the fridge.
To make plain peanut butter fudge just use vanilla frosting instead of milk chocolate. You can also use cream cheese frosting for a different taste.

I have a 2 ingredient recipe that is similar but comes out firmer. It is 1 can of any flavor frosting and 1 pkg of any flavor baking chips. You can use chocolate/ milk or semi sweet chocolate chips
Vanilla and a peanutbutter or butterscotch chip
Cream cheese frosting and vanilla chips are good. You can add 1 tsp of orange extract and 3 drops of orange food coloring to 1/3 of the mixture and swirl that together to make creamsicle fudge
Chocolate frosting and peanutbutter chips are good.
Chocolate frosting and mint chips are delicious too
You are only limited by your imagination. I use a 9 inch square pan and prepare it with wax paper just like you did. I microwaved the mixture for 1 minute to start. I then stirred and then did additional 30 second increments into it is melted

I have been making this fudge for quite a while and I only soften them for about 15 sec. each in 1100 watt microwave. Also, you need to leave it longer in the fridge and it will be firmer as you probably figured that out after a few days. hahaha. I have been fighting myself all summer to not make this (I use vanilla and peanut butter) because my Dad used to make peanut butter fudge for me and until I found this recipe, I just couldn't make fudge. And needless to say...I don't need to eat all that by myself. I do share though...don't want to be selfish.

I seen your fudge and decided to make a batch...I did however add between 1/4 and 1/3 C. sifted powdered sugar to the batch AFTER I nuked it....it gave the fudge the right consistency. Because I have been wanting to make a peanut butter fudge with whole peanuts, I also add about a C. of cocktail peanuts. My fudge was a big success, so, I will be making this along with my Divinity, and Marshmallow Fudge to put on my candy platters that I give for gifts. Try it...you may just love it as much as my family did.

I read somewhere that brownies cut neatly without sticking to a plastic knife. I know that works, and it might work for sticky fudge, too. Worth a try, anyway. This is just the kind of knife you'd get with fast food, nothing fancy. Nice video. Will try it.

I'm glad you mentioned that to people about putting plastic jars in the microwave. I seen on some videos people doing that, and that is not a good idea in my opinion, because as you say the chemicals are toxic. Actually I don't put any plastic in the microwave, not even plastic that says microwave safe. It takes nothing to just use a glass bowl or dish instead. My opinion anyway. Thanks for the helpful video. Although even the canned frosting maybe isn't the healthiest thing either to stay away from chemicals, but it's not something a person would eat all the time, so it's a nice quick easy recipe when you don't have a lot of time. 😊

Ive made this fudge a lot but to make it a bit more firm to keep its shape at room temperature, I add a small handful of the candy melt disc's to be melted with the frosting & peanut butter & because we love maple & almond flavoring so much I add 2 teaspoons of maple extract & 1 teaspoon of almond extract after the peanut butter & frosting & candy melt dics come out of the microwave. It comes out fantastic that way!

This tastes great and easy so easy but I add chocolate chips and then microwave and it is a stiffer candy. Can't get much easier. The best one is chocolate frosting and chocolate chips melted then add mini--marshmallows and slivered almonds, Rocky Road...REALLY GOOD !! Many different variations with other frosting flavors, coconut, other nuts, crushed peppermints, whatever suits your fancy.

As it becomes more to room temperature it will become soft and gooey again like the icing and peanut would be in their separate forms. It's wise to keep it in the fridge or you'll have a big sticky mess when you try to eat it.
If you want this to stay firm after the fridge, try adding in a cup or so of powdered sugar to the mix

  • @tamrameasels4867

You are supposed to microwave the can of frosting still in the can for a minute. Then microwave the peanut butter in the container for 1 minute. Then pour them both in the bowl. Your not supposed to spoon out the ingredients into the bowl then microwave. It's so much easier and all of it pours out so much easier.

    • @thedailydee
      @thedailydee  3 года назад +9

A lot of people do it that way, but unless a plastic says "microwave safe" it really shouldn't be put in the microwave. Chemicals can leach from it. It only takes a minute extra to do it this way.

Mary Aberilla If the jars are glass, great, but as she mentions in the video, plastic jars in the microwave can definitely cause a chemical leak into the contents. You don’t want that!
