Exactly what I have been looking for since I had a 2am thoughts just over a week ago about making my dad and his work colleagues a sweet treat as they will be work 4 days including Christmas day, its something simple and sweet that i know my dad will enjoy and it might help me/him realise that there is and can be more in a relationship than he has ever put in. I have made this many times so good ! When you take it off the heat add 1tsp of pure vanilla extract then stir one more time !!then pour onto your buttered pan and chill ! Then you have fantastic fudge ! You can make other flavors also ! Did this over 17 years back ! Everyone at work loved it ! 😊❤️👍 around Christmas 🎄 time !

Aha I see all these comments saying they don’t have condensed milk and I’m remembering that one time when I was home alone high asf and I REALLY wanted chocolate ice cream, but every recipe said I needed condensed milk. So I boiled milk and sugar for two hours just to get some damn chocolate ice cream.

I've made homemade fudge for years, 5 ,x7 Pyrex dish. One can of condensed milk, one teaspoon of vanilla and a bag of baking chips whatever flavor you like, plus I like to add walnuts.
Put all ingredients in Pyrex then put in microwave keep an eye on it to make sure the chips have melted. When everything is cooked stir it up good then set in frigerator till chilled. After chilling take a butter knife and slice your squares.
Easy peasy.
I think I like your recipe better with the bag of baking chips.
I like that you use CONDENSED milk, not sweetened condensed milk, sweetened condensed milk would make this icky sweet. I add Marshmallow Fluff and it lightens it up and adds just a little more sweetness.
Lorraine Silzle condensed milk is always sweetened condensed milk. You’re thinking evaporated milk, which is different.

Because of this recipe I have now made this so many times and out of different things each time, I made a milk chocolate one, I made one with pretzels, peanuts, I made one with salt on top, and just now I made one with shreddies and marshmallows in a layer in the middle. Hope this one is good!
I make this for my mother every year both on her birthday and on Mother’s Day. This is perfect for her as she hasn’t been able to eat sugar for longer about 15 years now, so she dosen’t normally get to enjoy things like this. You should have seen how happy she was the first time I made her this. Priceless!

Okay... So here is the update
After 6 hours in the fridge and long time of waiting...I can for sure say that it was worth it. Keeping in mind that there were only two ingredients and how easy was to be made I can say that this recipe is awesome 10/10 recommended! And if you don't want to wait for that long u can always use the mixture in a different way. You can put it on bread or even mix it up with some fruits.
