Hey friends! I hope you enjoyed this video! I actually realized it isn’t 2weeks free, but 3 WEEKS FREE! How cool is that in determining if it’s right for your family!?
I would love to see a flip through! I start planning our next year at the end of January/early March. I feel less rushed, can watch for sales, and find some things used to save some money :)
I’m a first year homeschool mom and would love to see a flip through of this! History is our fave too and it’s been so hard to decide which curriculum to use! Your read aloud/monthly morning basket recommendations have been so great, thank you!
Oh man!!! I found your channel because 1. I love history and homeschool as well 2. READ ALOUDS 3. I was researching The Story of the World because I'm really drawn to that sort of thing but now THIS. . .. How will I ever decide?? Lol
Please do a flip through, super interested. I will have a 7th grader too and we are doing Ancient History next year. I was going to do another curriculum but, seriously considering this one now.
I'm so excited to see you are trying this curriculum as well. I already have it on the shelf for next year and can't wait. We'll be starting with Ancient History.
I would love to see more! And to see how you will do this going forward. I will have an 8th grader next year and starting to think about how to move into high school 😳
The thing I love about BiblioPlan is how you can expand it for High School. The Family Guide plans it all out for your. For example, my high school freshman will earn credits in History, Geography, Literature, American Government, and Bible, thanks to the curriculum! Some families even add art! It’s very comprehensive!
We used Biblioplan for a couple of years (about 5 years or so ago). I think our least favorite part was the textbook. I did like how you could pick and choose your supplements, but I probably didn’t take advantage of that as much as I would now (older kiddos and I have been homeschooling for 13 years now and could easily add to history-which I often do with our current curriculum-because I enjoy the subject so much)! This video does have me wanting to take a look at Biblioplan again as it sits in a closet (I have such a hard time getting rid of curriculum that I may use again)! 😊
We are in year 10 of homeschooling. I almost always start shopping for next years curriculum in Feb or March. 😂 It's gets me through these long cold months...something to look forward to.
Yep, I usually plan for the following school year during Christmas Break(*wasn't able to fully do that this year though). Especially with lots of kiddos/various ages/stages/grades, it can take a while to get it all figured out!
Loved seeing your enthusiasm over a new to you curriculum! Can I ask why you are switching from Story of the world to Biblioplan? Can't wait to see how you use this in your homeschool. Thanks for your videos!
Biblioplan still utilizes SOTW if you want to use it. It’s actually in the family guide along with Mystery of History and a few others. SOTW isn’t enough on its own for my upcoming 7th grader 😉 we needed a little more for him.
Ive been looking at BP since the fall. I would make it CM style and use only the family guide and RTD spine….maaaybe the maps. Just not sure if I want to do history family style or not, but if I did, this is totally what I would use.
Although I ended up choosing Sonlight, Biblioplan was a consideration for next year. It looks interesting. I don’t like navigating their website though.
Are you interested in looking at the new revisions to TGTB history? We used it for a few years. I’m excited to see the changes. We used Notgrass the last two years. Not sure what we’re using this next year. 🤨
I taught Notgrass one year for Middle school history at our co-op. I prefer a literature based history with several resources. We currently use My Father’s World which I LOVE and have used several times. I’m super excited about Biblioplan because while it has the text it also includes TONS of literature and several sources for information. 😉
We started Trial and Triumph this year, but I may need to just do it with my oldest for a couple years. My youngest two are super sensitive for some reason and the content has been hard for them to listen to 😬🤭
It was a choice of this curriculum and Tapestry of Grace for history this year. It was so hard to decide! We ultimately went with Tapestry but this looked amazing.
@@samanthagraveswalters8443 it’s a k-12, 4 year cycle of history. It combines Bible, geography, writing (if you want), art, and literature. It’s classical, starting with lower grammar and going through the dialectic stage. You can use one curriculum for all your kids and it tells you how to tailor it to their level. :) They have a web site and a few you tube videos to better explain.
It has a LOT of information and a lot of depth. Be prepared to discuss other religions and their rise in the world, but I love that it includes the history of the Christian church as well as references to resources to wade through it all. I want those “hard” topics in our homeschool because that’s where apologetics and developing a Christian Worldview comes from. So while it is from a more Christian perspective, it also delves deep into topics most Christian history tends to shy away from or sugarcoat. 😉 Another thing that is cool is that it also has the correlating lessons and pages if you want to use Mystery of History alongside it.
We are working through Mystery of History this year. I bought it second hand and we are just reading the lessons and watching corresponding RUclips videos occasionally. Does BiblioPlan have levels? Or just one book from creation to modern times? Wondering where we would start if we picked this up next year?
You can actually use Mystery of History WITH Biblioplan! It gives the pages and chapters to read with each day in the family guide😉 There are 4 cycles and depending on the age of child you do the activities outlined in the family guide. So each cycle has its own family guide (ancient, medieval, exploration, and modern era).
@@samanthagraveswalters8443 I love MFW but it’s expensive and we had to increase our budget in other subjects since my oldest is in middle school and some of those subjects go up a notch. Biblioplan is an affordable literature based program and it just looks like something I would really like to try 😉
Thanks for sharing!! I know you have need using MFW which is what I use. What drew you to this curriculum over MFW? What do you feel are the biggest differences?
I love My Father’s World. But honestly it was the price point for me. Plus, this is something that we can cycle through and just purchase the high school textbook and resources without having to repurchase the teacher’s guide. It’s truly something to use with the whole family at varying ages and stages.
@@PenniesAndSalt Thank you for sharing!!! I mostly get my MFW used which has helped! Does this one come with supplemental books or do you just add in what you like?

That is so awesome
Yes flip through please
That table showing you the extra readers and the crossover with SOtW is niiiiiiice

Yay! I love Biblioplan! It’s so crazy that more people don’t use it or haven’t even heard of it. So glad you’re trying this out! 😁
I have definitely been leaning towards a classical model of history as well 💖💖💖
Oh man, Megan, you making this sound super doable! I’m adding this to my list to consider!!
BiblioPlan plans it all out for you! Super Easy! Check us out!

Agreed!
Looks awesome! Would love to see a flip thru 💗
I hope you love this next year for your kids! It reminds me a lot of The Mystery of History.
Please do a flip through, super interested. I will have a 7th grader too and we are doing Ancient History next year. I was going to do another curriculum but, seriously considering this one now.
I already bought pretty much all my curriculum for next year just waiting on Everything to arrive
I've never heard of this curriculum... sounds super interesting! Will be taking a look! Thanks Megan!
Love the way that it is set up
We’ve been planning for the new school year since December and started ordering curriculum this month.
I love map work too!!
Thanks for this!! I have been looking for a new history. We fall short every year and this looks awesome!
The Family Guide is amazing and will guide you through each week so you won’t fall short again!

Welcome aboard! Make sure to join our facebook group BiblioPlan Users. It’s a great place to ask questions!
I'm on the look for a new history program for our family next year.
Flip through please!! Looks awesome!
We just got our English stuff lined up, and I'm looking at history and science curriculum. Getting excited for the new homeschool year! 😅💕💕
Yes! It’s so exciting!
I’m prepping too. I do all my research before I go to the convention in Cincinnati in April. :)
BiblioPlan will be there in Cincinnati! See you there!
Yes for a flip through!!
They are an exhibitor at a convention Im attending in April and was already on my list to check out. We currently use SOW and love it.
We’re looking forward to seeing you in April!
You are not the only one! I’m already buying and next year’s curriculum is already rolling in!! 💕
I haven't heard of this one before! This looks very cool! Those timeline pictures are REALLY cool.
I’m looking for everything for next year too!

love the time line book
Ooh you just inspire me to be ready for the upcoming school year.😅
😉
Thank you so much! I'm still looking for a history curriculum for next year so I really appreciate this video.

already purchased math curriculum for next year 🙂
Woohoo!!!

Would the main difference between this and SOTW be the Christian perspective?
