To recite Allah’s words (Quran) in Arabic is IBADAH (prayer) it self therefore all Muslims recite it in its Arabic script. Secondly to learn tafseer you have to learn Quranic Arabic as its impossible to comprehend it through a dictionary
take a small portion , few ayats or 1 ayah, read with ,.... 1) tajweed, 2) then read the translation , 3) and then memorize the same portion. go on your own pace. make this routine , honestly inshallah , it will become easy
Just a correction Sheikh Said camels carrying books Allah SWT said Donkey carrying books Quran 62:5 The example of those who were entrusted with ˹observing˺ the Torah but failed to do so, is that of a donkey carrying books.1 How evil is the example of those who reject Allah’s signs! For Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people. JazakAllah khaira
I've never understood the logic of memorising the Quran without knowing what you're even saying or meaning. It's sad that in history people did that. You need Both otherwise what's the point.
My advice is do memorization but learn the tafseer everytime before you memorize a small part of the Qur'an. It will take forever and it is not wgat people do these days. They only focus on memorising without understanding and practicing what they read.
1) Tasfir
2) Memorize

Did the Sheikh mean to say ‘Donkeys” rather than “Camels”?
Subhanallah that's what I thought too - I think he meant 'donkeys carrying books'
Yes
Possibly didn't want to be insensitive or he was just trying to use the analogy of an animal not knowing the value of things they carry.
