It's so interesting. Last season ISU thought about increasing the value of 4lo, and now everyone's training 4lo
It is UR, right?
Somewhere around 90 degrees so it falls mostly into 'q' but it depends on technicians' faultfinding :)
yas,
Okay so do the Rippon jumps get a 10 percent bonus or not? I always thought they did but when I look at the tech box it’s always the regular base value, like when Valieva did the Rippon 3A it just said 8.00. Can someone clarify? Thanks!
Hi! No, there's no base value bonus for Rippon or Tano jump variations, just possibly higher GOE for complex air position. According to current rules that can be considered as "very good body position from take-off to landing"
and granted with +1 GOE
Николай Дагаев Oh LOL. Was there ever a bonus?
Also, while I have you, if you don’t mind, is there a reason no one does an axel toe combo in the short? Like could Kihira, Valieva, etc do a 3A3T, 3F, 3Lz?
@@kojobaidoo4667 Yes, it's one of evaluation criteria. Before 2018 it was a distinct criterion like "Complex air positio" (thanks for that we got a whole generation of Russian skaters with Tano and Rippon variations after Medvedeva) but after 2018 reformation rules were simplified and a number of criteria was reduced. They just included that criterion into the bigger one.
@@kojobaidoo4667 I suppose they don't do that because there is not advantage. In the SP you must perform solo axel, two jumps combo and solo jump. If you have done 3A3T, you will have to do another solo axel but, because it is prohibited to repeat jumps in the SP you can just do a double axel. The base value of 2A is 3.30, far lower than all of the triples (3T has 4.20, 3Lz 5.90), BV of 3A3T can just compensate it. So if you choose to do 3A3T in the SP you will not get real advantage of this jump. However, ladies-juniors haven't even got a choice where to put 3A in the short: rules say it is mandatory for them to perform 2A. Alysa Liu, Sofia Samodelkina and other juniors can achieve a 2-3 points gap if they perform 3A3T instead of other triples so they use it :)
У нас много хороших тренеров и хороших спортсменов. Уважение Давыдову.Только бы их не сманивали разные заберидзе. Это было бы честно.
Great, another russian genetically modified quad jumper. Like... how? WHAT DO YOU FEED YOUR SKATERS?
More like, "How much do you not feed your skaters."
@S K I have to admit, she does look healthy compared to the others who look like sticks. I hope Sofia lasts and enjoys until her seniors and she keeps her high tech jumps.
