Too bad it wasn't a few years back when Ian had his long hear, gorgeous teeth, mouth, eyes, face, movements, mannerisms (although I still think he's gorgeous) the whole thing that drew me to him along with that voice, energy and musical talent and do his '69 Living in the Past or later on his radical Bungle in the Jungle where he gets to cut loose but on this show that would be too wild. Loved Jethro Tull for 46 years, exceptional group like no other. His voice inflections and intonations are interesting. He's Scottish as I am. I'm from the McKenzie and Wood clans. I love my Scottish brothers and sisters. Jethro Tull are the best Celtic/Folk/Rock Band to create the most beautiful and unusual songs I've ever heard. I love how he pays homage to those mighty working horses in Heavy Horses, His ode to One Brown Mouse, the great song Weathercock, No Lullaby, Thick As a Brick, Aqualung, that beautiful and romantic Acres Wild....the whole band in costume to fit the video being filmed. They're creative, lyrically and musically gifted. They could have been the only ones to create their songs and glad they did! I'm extremely glad they decided not to be accountants or insurance salesman. They were meant for the musical road. Superb~Fantastique~Belle Voix JT!
jn we, I think he's over the top in the Madison Square Garden concert of 1978. It's here on RUclips. He's God like, no other way to explain how musically intoxicating everything he does as well as his gorgeous looks with the wild beard and hair.
Ian, genius lyricist and frontman, as well as self-taught flutist (flautist), he doesn't need to waste his time looking down on these people. They're doing him and the band a great favor by having them on the show.
I wonder if Ian could even have imagined in 1970 that he'd wind up on a show like this some time in the future. I'm not sure the 1970 Ian would have been as gracious as he was here. And the Red Rocks riot they talk about was not for the debut of Thick as a Brick, it was for Aqualung.
Ian is brilliant, of course, certainly deserves the centre spotlight when talking about Jethro Tull. But it kinda bothers me that Martin stays in the background so much, considering that not only is he a great guitar player, but he's been with the group essentially as long as Ian has and deserves a lot of credit for its sucess.
Ian is so well spoken, such a classy person
If you never heard of Jethro Tull and saw this you'd think they were a lounge act at an airport. :(

Here here!!
And the great Kissing Willy..
Ian and Jethro Tull = G.O.A.T.!!!😍🤩🥰🥰🥰
Absolutely brilliant
I'm 2023, I'm still trying to process that Tull is on this show. First time seeing it.

Ian is so damn good looking.
You can almost see Ian fighting to hold onto IQ points while interacting with these two !
D.A. Risse Yeah, it's pretty painful.
@@ghendar Talking empty heads, painful Anderson is very patient and polite.
Kind of reminds me of watching Katie Couric interviewing Peter Gabriel.
That one shows
Kathie Lee thought Jethro Tull was formed when the Beatles were looking for a new drummer? Good Lord.
“Kathie Lee thought”? Is it possible?
IAN ANDERSON: Ein GENIE.
What a legend

They sound great!
Wow, those presenters were painful! Poor Ian.
"... drawn millions of fans for twenty years..."?! Tull had already been playing for almost 30...
This listed Ian Anderson as a flute player .. Guitar , keyboards and lead vocals aren't counted ?
"Boreeee" ha ha haaa!!!!
Classic......
Lord, Ian Anderson is my idea of Shakespeare!
He studied at Oxford
I have vinyl copy of Living in The Past which is missing the title track. Is this a counterfeit or did some defective copies get out?

LOL I'd guess this is the kind of venue that Ian Anderson hates
The haggis joke!!!!
Cringeful. Can't imagine what Martin and Andy are thinking. Probably thank god we don't have to speak 😂
They look so out of place...
This show bastardized Tull a bit right here imo
