I used to have this interview on tape and I couldn't find it anywhere. So glad I found it here. My God, they look so happy together (they're absolutely beaming) and they had an awesome marriage . . . over 20 years together and counting -- and that's a lifetime in Hollywood.
I just finished Kelly's new book, "Live Wire" and I loved it. She is awesome and writes brilliantly. It is hilarious... I have the audio, she does the narration but Mark's on there too. They've been married 25 years, WOW!!! Wonderful couple. 🥰

She was horrified. That's why they were talking about "bat wings" and "Grandma Ripa arms" when Kelly came out.
Kelly was funnier, more articulate, and more relateable back then than she can ever hope to be now. She's very lucky that Mark took her up on that drink offer. He was very handsome. A definite "studmuffin".

KATHIE LEE wanted to retire, in part since her young at the time kids DIDN'T LIKE being talked about, and she could be with her husband more. i GUESS it turned out okay, but ABC picked KELLY RIPA as she was their shining ALL MY CHILDREN star, and very smart and talkative, and the REST IS HISTORY, and her kids were okay with being show fodder!
