DiMaggio and Mantle were great ball players. Sadly, they were Single A fathers. I have respect for their athletic ability, but not their personality traits. One should be measured not on how many home runs they hit, but how they treat others and their respective family.

Okaaay wasn’t expecting that said in a Joe D. Video 😶
The worst thing about him,is that he had to play in the old stadium.God.only knows, what stats he would have had.The man was really a five tool player.
What were the Red Sox doing? We had Ted Williams!!! Did the red sox have no pitching?
Joe- he does have "Love Mary" in his soul creation. Izzy- Norma Jean's soul creation is Lucifers soul match. The feelings that he had for Izzy were even greater as he had a family relation.
hardly any baseball talk , mostly personal relationship talk. ESPN sucks
After all the smoke n mirrors I would still take Jeter. Number 2 is the only NY jersey I will ever own
dude no offense, from a fellow yankee fan, you're smoking crack. jeter never had a high average. jeter never had the power. nobody ever called jeter the greatest short stop, never mind the greatest player. and everyone forgets that dimaggio hit into death valley. who's gonna hit a 460 ft HR? they don't even do that in HR derbies at the all-star game. some of the greatest ballplayers that ever lived said that dimaggio was the greatest player they ever saw, including mickey mantle & ted williams.
jeter had longevity and consistency. i wanted him to keep playing and shoot for rose's record. i saw him hit an opposite field upper deck HR at the Stadium. i saw him make great plays at short and come up big in the playoffs. not saying he's not a great player. but even jeter's dad didn't put him in the same category as the yankee legends.
As great as Jeter was he still ranks lower than 4th best Yank and that shows you how great our Yanks have been

Didn't Joe DiMaggio sue Simon and Garfunkel over the line "where have you gone Joe DiMaggio"?
No.
He definitely didn’t, he debunked the whole theory that he genuinely dislike the song from the beginning in his biography “Dinner with DiMaggio”.
Anytime I see Sports century videos less than a half hour, you know it's bullshit with commercials, terrible audio and worse video. Nope!!
This dude couldn't even sniff Barry Bonds' jockstrap

Imagine be related to him. Couldn’t be me

Thrice Marilyn Monroe wed. I'm Betsy's fourth. Cynthia is fifth, baby of the family born "APRIL FOOLS!"---day 1959. Marilyn Monroe sold Royal Triton, 1950, by very fondly nicknaming it, her very first car, CYNTHIA!
Steve Martin "Roxanne"......
Ok those old timers are starting to scare me🤣🤣🤣 They’re all just a little too smitten with old Joe. Saying all this crazy stuff, especially about Joe DiMaggio being handsome??? Joe DiMaggio??? Really??? Are they serious??? He’s one of the ugliest guys I ever seen lmaooo. No but an amazing ball player. Arguably top 5 ever. Had a lot of style and grace, on and off the field. Rip legend 🙏🏾
Joe DiMaggio
I don't care what anyone say Joe was the most overrated player in baseball.
Amen! HOF for sure, but not as good as people think, and by all accounts, a giant pirck.
and you would be in the minority my friend
No disrespect to Joe… since 1940 Mays is the BEST ALL AROUND PLAYER!! It’s not even close between Mays & Joe D!! Griffey, Jr, Aaron, Bonds & a healthy Mick were better all around players than Joe!!
Healthy Mick yes, but put Mays in Yankee stadium and he dosent put up those big numbers
👍🏻 🇮🇹
He was Willie Mays' idol and copied Joe's game, especially his grace in the outfield. Nuff said.
I cannot respect someone who beats a woman.
Go beat meat.
There’s no credible evidence that suggests he ever did that though…
Joe DiMaggio was the Frank Sinatra of baseball.
Joe Dimaggio was named the greatest living player in 1969 the 100th anniversary of baseball. But it should have gone to Willie Mays. He was a true 5 tool player and if were going to be honest he did everything better than Dimaggio. And he's still the greatest living player. At the end of the century he was the 2nd greatest player of all time. Dimaggio was 15th.
re di maggio...
Great player, but probably overrated because he played in New York. Career numbers: .325 batting average, 2214 hits, 361 HRs. Terrific numbers, but nowhere close to many other greats.
He lost 3 years because of WW2, he would have wound up with over 400 HR'S 2500 hits 1900 RBI'S, plus they played less games back then. the dude is a legend despite what you say, numbers dont lie.
DiMaggio and Mantle were great ball players. Sadly, they were Single A fathers. I have respect for their athletic ability, but not their personality traits. One should be measured not on how many home runs they hit, but how they treat others and their respective family.
true, but I hear Joe Jr had a history of alcohol and drug abuse.
Andrew TATE would of broken all of this MESS! Let her demons stay with her get away!
who was number 1 ? MUHAMMAD ALI?????
No he was #3 Babe Ruth #2 & Jordan #1 just more kissing MJ butt.
@@patrickgray5633 thanks
@@patrickgray5633 gretzky's better than jordan. (jordan should've never left the NBA.) gretzky was like if if someone hit .400 every year and 1000 HR and shattered every other hitting record in the books. no i'm not canadian lol
My least favorite Yankee. He was a strange bird. Yeah great player but not my fav. Relatively short career.
He was a primary donna. Request to be called the greatest yankee at appearances. Maybe it was "greatest living yankee" or ballplayer . But that is too too vain when others like William's, May's around. And they All make mistakes and get lazy but here it s produced as he is flawless , bullsh*t. He skipped enlisting in the war. He wouldn't have been put in a dangerous spot.
prove it, or stop the propaganda
