Obviously you are the best in Channa keeping ❤ , I got the important notes such as decorations and water level, light ... From this video, please take it easy keep us update dear Dr..
I have a pulchra about 3 inch. Do u have ant tips in grooming him? His fins are always done even when I use mirror? Your suggestions would really help me. Thanks!!
i dont wanna be "that guy" but are those tanks longterm enclosures? i dont have much experience in channa keeping, but from what i red, most like thick plantcovers and larger tanksizes. would be interested to hear about this from you!
Thank goodness, somebody said it! You are correct these tanks are all way too small for these fish. and based on the size of each specimen in the video, I would say this person had not owned these for very long and are probably recent purchases. Which one could attribute that to why they look so good And not this aquarist skill or care of his animals. I’ve been in the hobby for decades and these aquariums are way too small for mature Channa, or any kind of long-term care. No filtration or even water circulation. Just because these fish can breathe atmospheric oxygen does not mean that they should be kept in stagnant water This is the type of set up you would see in a very poorly run pet store, but nothing you would want long-term for any of these species of Channa. Sending the wrong message to people new to the hobby.
Who knows, it’s possible they make frequent water changes and this prevents stagnation/poor water quality. But these tanks are still woefully small for long term care for single specimens and definitely too small for pairs. Not even going to touch the aquascaping, or lack thereof, and this being the opposite of what you would want in a setup for most Channa species…
I have white rimmed channa andrao 2 inches as of the moment and put it in a 12x12x12 inches cube tank. White background and black sand. Is that alright?
