This group is awesome and can sing their butts off. I love their outfits (bad to the bone). Bring back bell-bottoms (they are sporting them so well). Thanks for playing this jam.
I'm from St Louis and they did a show where the band was on a different flight and were delayed They did the show Acapella and had the place quiet trying to listen to the purity of their voices. I've never witnessed anything like that before or after. I'll never forget the Dramatics
It's so rewarding knowing the youth of this generations is enjoying REAL music of yester-year. Thank you for sharing young man. The Dramatics will go down in history as one of the best R&B groups of their time. I love them!!
I watched Soul Train every Saturday morning as a child and teenager for the music and to watch and imitate the dance moves. It lasted 35 years. Don Cornelius a great host.
Awesome group great song. I remember hearing it in Detroit at Trains house # 2. Any of you Detroiters in the 70's know about it age group 19-21. That's were came to on the week end. Hosted by WCHB DJ Terry "the rock jock" Woods. Thanks for that brother good memories are a beautiful thing and keep us young at heart.
There'll never ever be Group Harmonizing like this again the Great Dramitcs.A Great Musician once said it takes a thousand hrs of Practice to become good
Please also check out "No Rebate On Love" (featuring two of the Dramatics from the classic line-up William "Wee Gee" Howard and Elbert Wilkens with Arthur Phillips on tenor instead of Ron Banks) ruclips.net/video/dOMo3cvi3fc/видео.html as well as their take on "Me And Mrs. Jones" ruclips.net/video/vrs1xqPGeHs/видео.html and "You're Foolin' You": ruclips.net/video/ECa_IlvsWBo/видео.html. I would really like to hear your take on those songs!
Dont really like this one....wish you had done "Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get" performance on Soul Train....i do think you reacted to the audio version of that song already tho.....not feeling this one but always love seeing those old performance videos of the artists in their prime.....so kudos for that.....i hope you do more of these performance videos....remember Soul Train featured almost all of the hottest acts for decades so especially when you do late 60s to mid 80s reactions always type Soul Train along with artist and its almost certain you will find a performance video of those artists on that show.....great reaction
Rest In Heaven Elbert, Wee Gee, Lenny, Ron & Willie. 💯
Can you imagine - EVERYONE LAST ONE OF THE GROUP MEMBERS HAD LEAD VOCAL ABILITIES, 70's will never be replicated in RnB!
