Great review Wow love the results on this Motor I really appreciate the work you do for these reviews Happy New Years my Friend Take Care And God Bless you
You should get better views of the motor. Mine was very nice looking with the Blue anodized body. I had a G32 in my Sig T-Clips. I sold that plane but the motor always performed very well.
Good feedback Dave. Thank you. I'll work on getting better camera angles. The more I do this, the more I see a need for an external monitor on the cameras so I can see what the viewer sees while filming. I've actually figured that out with the GoPro already and use that to my advantage. I think I need to do it with the overhead, and make sure I use the external monitor more often while filming. I have to keep reminding myself that I can cut unwanted material. It's kind of a mental thing while filming--I try to make each take perfectly to minimize editing time. Just more opportunity to up my game :)
I’ve used Tomcat motors and never had an issue. I had seen that Bitgohobby carried them and was happy to see that. Very good pricing and decent quality. Do you have a Ordering Code for Bitgo, so they know what traffic you’re sending their way?
Only the coupon code for radio equipment...Glad to hear you've had good experience with them. I have the Leopard, VH G32, Cobra, and Rimfire available for the shootout now. Just need to get them off the planes....soon!
RC Video Reviews I can’t wait to see the results of that. I can’t (for myself), justify a $90 or $100 motor in a $105 plane. (Tower Hobbies Sport). Mine has the Leopard motor 32 size equivalent ($45) and I’m very pleased with it. (That motor was your suggestion to me a long time ago)👍
I agree. Seems silly to me to spend the cost of the airframe in servos or the motor (or the radio for that matter) unless it's some very specific use case like an Eagletree Vector for long range flying. I am looking forward to getting this shootout done because I want to see the results side-by-side in a controlled environment. My prediction is that the mid-tier Leopard/Tomcat will run within a few percentage points of the high end. I even think the budget motor will be in the hunt. We'll see though.
Here is a line of very inexpensive motors but impressive you might want to take a look at,hobbymate motors sold by rc juice which is primarily an rc car co ,I have 7 of them in planes very smooth running and can handle some abuse ,the specs are very impressive on these I would love to know just how true they are[see the 2836] most of mine are the 3536 1050kv and I have put one through some serious overampage by mistake for a lot of flights and it seems unscathed once you see the specs yo will know what I am talking about
There is no online repository for this data. I had considered making one, but there simply wasn't enough interest in motor testing videos to warrant the effort. Sorry.
Thanks for such a nice explanation. It would be great if you can help me. I am having a .50(1650mm) Cessna 182 fiberglass scale model, weights around 4kg. Can you please suggest me some budget friendly motors to fly with 12x8 Triblade APC propeller & 6S Lipo ?? I have a few expensive options in my mind as listed below but no idea how good these will be in terms of power & weight ratio. Also these type big motors are barely available in India, so I may have to import them at my own risk. 1. Dualsky ECO 4120 560KV 2. T-motor AT4120 500KV or 560KV
Elijah, I've looked at the Turnigy G-series motors a couple of times and ALWAYS wind up going with something else. Their stated specs don't seem to compare favorably with other options so I've never bought one. Do you have a G25 870? Is that why you're asking? Or are you considering one?
@@OnePilot12222 Sound can be a very subjective issue. Do you have a specific concern? Does it come off hot? Are you running a 3s with that prop on that motor?
No, I am running the motor on 4s. I’m just concerned because an Rc plane instructor said to me that he thinks the motor bearings need to be lubricated. So he put some lubricant for electric motors on the motor and it doesn’t make a difference, so I just want to make sure it’s working ok.
@@OnePilot12222 That seems like a big prop on 4s for that motor to me. If you can, you should invest in a watt meter and measure it. I've never oiled a brushless motor--ever.
Great video, thanks, always learn something when I watch one of your videos.
Thanks for your comment J. Stephen Savoy. I'm happy you found the video helpful.

Hey Robert, You're very welcome. I'm glad you're such a reliable contributor and member of the group. Have a wonderful New Year!

Thanks for the tip Jeremy. I’ll look into them.
Love the test!! Thanks for sharing, what’s the bane of the testing board system ?
I'm not sure I understand the question...? If it's something I said in the video, do you have a time reference?
I meant the details of the testing table. Idk how I got the so wrong. But I found it already thank you
Where can we go to reference all your test and various test info

You need to get a subscription to ecalc.ch to work out problems like that. I like Cobra and Sunnysky motors.
@@RCVideoReviews I already have the same subscription. Is it accurate & reliable ?
It's accurate enough to get you in the neighborhood. It's not perfect though.
Hey great video, could you please test the turning G25 870KV?

Yeah I do have a G25 870KV on my Rc plane with a 12x8E propeller. I’m just trying to see if the sound is right because it’s a second hand one.

Are you going to put the GeForce g32 from value hobby on the judge
That motor was in my big motor shootout. It did really well too: ruclips.net/video/XNk_0ZDIoJ4/видео.html
Would u be able to do a test with the g52?
Maybe...I normally need an airframe before I get the motor, but if I see a chance to get one, I'll definitely do a test.
how does static thrust compare to thrust in the air?
About a 10% differential fully loaded.
