Used your video today to replace my window regulator. Thanks ever so much. The instructions were so easy to follow, and my window now works perfectly again 😊
Thanks a lot. just a tip, it is not really necessary to remove the inside panel. I did it all from outside. The tricky part when doing it from outside is to unplug the motor so your video at 9:04 helped me to understand how to unplug the cables. Cheers
when I remove the handle cable, and unscrew the lock... is there any risk of the door handle not feeling like before, because of some spring on the door lock that needs to be "pre loaded" ? I saw this on a guide to change Golf 4 rear door locking mechanism.
1.Sometimes the wire gets tangled on the inside part of the door around the motor's axle and we checked that first. 2. The screws holding the motor go through and hold the center of the regulator. 3. So people can replace just the motor if it's damaged. Thank you for your view and comment!

As you can see in other comments no one had any issues. It's pretty simple.
What you have to take the door skin off and also the inner panel to service the window regulator thats a ridiculous design.
It is what it is
Hello, what is the reason for removing the motor on the inside of the door?
Thanks

Is the golf 5 and the golf 5 plus the same regulator?
I'm pretty sure it s not the same. Has to be a bigger one but it's basically the same job.
