I made huge flowers a few years ago for my daughter’s catering company, she uses them for weddings. I just used white paper and they look gorgeous.
Yours really came out stinkin cute with felt.
I make and sell flowers (like these, mostly paper) for parties, weddings, baby showers, and home decor. I CRINGE watching ppl online make them and they just aren't executed well, but this was well executed. The petals are supported, they have a natural fold, a sturdy background and the flower center is how I make mine. And I think your center is beautiful and full, and this is lovely.

This is about my favorite of your projects. I've been trying to think of something to make to adorn the outside of my chicken coop/run area. I think I will modify this idea to make from metal flashing, maybe light corrugated metal, maybe even paint some to be hardy enough for outdoor use. If I make a few extra, I can coordinate them and tie into my patio/back porch decor for a more cohesive look. Oh my! My mind is spinning now with ideas! Thanks Kelly!

@@sarahchh The flashing is working very well! I got a small roll remnant from a neighbor and have been playing with it. It's just the galvanized silvery color. It cuts very easily with tin snips or aviation snips, and even my heavy craft shears. It bends pretty easily and I've embossed and hammered it into various textures as well. Takes a light sanding well and then holds paint nicely. I'm testing a few painted pieces outside now, just to check on how the color and paint holds up. So far, so good for pieces painted with exterior house pain and then clear spray poly. The regular craft-type acrylic paint is holding up with minimal fading so far. We get a lot of heat and sun on our south-facing patio and on the west side of the chicken coop, so I wanted to check it before investing a lot of time. I also flattened out a few tin cans to use for smaller shapes. The cans are harder to work with than the flashing. If the projects end up looking as good as I think they are, I'm considering getting other colors/metals to do things with.

I love these soooooo much! I have scrapbook galore and burlap and fabric that I want to give as gifts. Is there any possible way you could tell me the rough width and length of your beautiful felt flower? I am awful, hubby says pitiful, when I have to guess or measure. He does love me. A stem and leaves would look great under the flower. You could do the same thing with the leaves that you did with the pedals on the flower. Very simple. It looks awesome

@@hadassahpeace4733 you can use watered down pva glue in a bowl, then soak the lace and squeeze out the excess and lay flat to dry! 😘😘😘
