I love crafting and I really enjoy all your creative diy ideas. My go to product for stick stuff is right in the cleaning supplies at the Dollar Tree, "Totally Awesome." All I do is spray it on and lets it sit for a few seconds then it just completely comes off (I use it especially for sticker removal). I've tried everything and this is what work best for me with very little effort.
I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but DT sells a package of several black blades, usually in the tool section or where the glue and tape is. They're great for scraping things off glass. I prefer trying that before the Goo Gone.
I do like the idea. I think that the fabric and picture can be put on the bottom of the trivit and be no worries about it Getting damaged. Just an idea.
I just made 4, not with picture but using material. I used dishwasher safe modge podge. I love making these. I've also made them with decorative napkins. I will have to do the picture. Thank you for sharing this.
I don't know how I missed this a year ago, but thought I want to know what you do, so here I am! Lol! ( : Darn, mine used to have these. I am not sure they still do. I will have to look near the candles. ( :.l I use faux or real goo gone to remove gunk! I agree nothing like it! ( : I love this diy! It is sooo darn cute! ( : You are too stinking cute. I would never have noticed it wasn't perfectly centered. I think it came out amazing, so just let it go, sweetie! It us awesome! ( : ♥️♥️♥️ Tracy ( :
C. Deming - Presented well, including your unsatisfactory experience with the glue eraser you'd purchased, saving us the same disappointment and a few bucks as well. Thanks! that was so nice of you!
😇💙 What a REALLY Cute, Creative and Unique idea Kelly. We are all human, and L 💗 VE That you show, what you might call a booboo.🤗 Thank YOU for sharing your CREATIVITY with us.📸🖼️🎄 God Bless you 🙏🙏🙏
Ho-o-o-omygosh, I can think of so many things to put on the back of that! I don't do photos, but information like kitchen measurements and conversions, poems, colorful drawings and so many things!! Yay!
Hi Kelly I know I have expressed my self about your DIY'S but I am honest I Love Your Wonderful Work I Love It Thank You May Our Lord Above Blessed You And Your Family Keep Up Your Blessed Work You Have Been Giving To All Your Viewer's. Thank You
I am watching this late as I am running through old episodes while I fold 200 pieces of paper! But, I LOVE THIS. Seriously. What a fabulous idea, what a fabulous gift to give to people, for several occasions. thank you for sharing, as usual, I really enjoyed!!!
I'm not sure how I missed this one it is absolutely a perfect gift idea for those that you love I have to save this one and make some for Christmas and out to some friends and families members thank you so much for sharing have a great day and God bless
I used to use this type of eraser for rubber cement. I would dob it on the dried rubber cement and it would pop off the paper. Kinda neat👍👍. I didn't think that it would work with what you were doing Kelly. Great learning experience, though. Thank you 😊.
Glad to know you’re as human as the rest of us. And what I love most about DIYing is that everything is a bit imperfect! Perfectly imperfect...it sets the piece apart from the plethora of mass manufactured items. Thanks for sharing Kelly!
I picked one of these erasers up too. I do a lot of paper crafting. They work great erasing unwanted adhesive from paper. You weren't doing anything wrong. I use mine a lot - on paper. $1 is a great price. You will love it for paper/cards, etc.
I was so pleased to see this adit is a craft I am doing with vinyl self stick decals. Using dishwasher safe Mod Podge to seal the back. These make great cheese trays, spoon rest or hot plates.
The glue erasers work great on paper. I use mine to remove excess glue/tape on my paper crafts. Never tried it on glass. I think you did the right thing with Goo gone!
I love your crafts. You are so creative. The eraser is used for removing excess rubber cement. That's all those erasers are good for. I've been teaching art for years and I never have used the eraser for any other type of glue or adhesive.
Hi Kelly, I’m a scrapbooker and the gel eraser you were using for the trivet is actually more suited for the double sided tape that scrapbookers use...it works great in removing the adhesive tape that I use!! Hope this helps!! Great video by the way!!
Kelly if they can't get their local dollar tree they can get online at Dollar tree website. I know you have to pay for shipping but I still think it's worth it. It's a reasonable price also.
How stinkin adorable!! How in the world do you think of these amazing things?? I love making gifts like these and I love even more receiving them, they’re so personable and meaningful. 💕💕 And you know whats so great about the glue eraser not performing is it was only $1!! That’s what I love about the dollar tree, you can find gems for a buck and if not, it was only a buck. 😁 Thanks for sharing. Xoxo
Thank You For Sharing This..My Daughter is getting married next month this would be the perfect gift to give to her and her husband to be with some pictures they have took during their courtship... I think I will put hers on an Easel... look out Joann’s here I come🚗💭💭
I do think this would make a great gift. Also I think even though your picture alignment wasn't perfect, it made it look that much better & honestly couldn't tell until you pointed it out.
We were stationed in Portsmith Virginia and I was lucky enough to be right next to the corporate big dollar tree for A while I really miss that ! Thay had everything!!!! Kelly this was such a great idea super cute for my daughter‘s stocking with pictures of her kids ! ...Super
Hi Kelly, how are you? This is an Awesome idea; I love it! Every spoil is a style. I was in awe. I did not even notice. It’s beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
If you use wood glue instead of mod podge for your final coat it will be waterproof and stick even better. Mod podge is just Elmer's glue with water added. Love the trivet! It will make some awesome gifts🥰
Kelly, what an awesome idea. I have used those erasers before and really never cared for them. I was going to say what delo1951 said, that it is for tape runner adhesive. It works better for that.
Kelly....the dollar tree sells razor blade scrapers in the hardware section. I use these a lot. It works well also for getting glitter off...use a little water with it.
I don't see a thing wrong with it Kelly!! You made it and that's all that matters😁I love the idea👍👍😍

I think it's adorable! No one would notice it's slightly off center!
Thank you for another wonderful gift idea! 🎁
I always use plain old isopropyl alcohol to remove adhesive residues. It cuts through really well and is ALWAYS available at DT
I think it looks amazing. Perfect..
You always have the best ideas!
Goo Gone Works , krud kutter works and in a pinch a little bit of Dawn dish detergent and a back of a scrubby sponge or a Brillo works great too.
Mod Podge has a dishwasher safe one now. It's in with all the Mod Podge its a lighter blue color label. I found mine at Joanns.
You can get dishwasher safe mod podge! Great project!
very cute thank you will have to try it.
What a great idea. I love it. I’m going to try it.

This is super cool!!
Awesome idea..
What a personal touch. So sweet.
Our dollar tree has designs on them. But if you pull off and use hot soap and a good scrubbie pad you can use them to do this project.
So Beautiful amazing great gift to have and give
Very nice. Lay a vine or flower on the larger side
Super cute thank you for sharing
Awesome DIY! Thanks for sharing!

It looks beautiful. You can buy dishwasher safe Mod Podge on Amazon, and it is top rack dishwasher safe, however it takes 30 days to cure.
