    I’m sorry, but when you manage to pull in over 300 million in your career in guaranteed money with a career winning percentage barely over 500 and the same amount of playoff wins as Tim Tebow??? This man gets a lifetime pass from me.

      The quality of Kirk’s playoff teams were questionable at best imo. Before the injury, Kirk was having his best year ever last year. If he is medically cleared, he’s absolutely worth $45 per year.

      Check Spotrac. Kirk has made 231 million so far. Sure, Kirk has had guaranteed contracts his whole career but the trade-off is that you’re not the highest paid quarterback either. Kirk was the 15th highest paid quarterback when he was Minnesota.

    They got it right, finally, with this clip. Cousins will not be around for longer than two years, even if he takes the Falcons to the SB, which is unlikely. QB’s live in a land of eternal optimism, but when the body goes, it goes - and there are few Brady’s in the world.
    I can’t wait to see the guys eat crow when the Falcons have a very good two years, though.

    • @Paula-mv8im
      @Paula-mv8im 19 дней назад

      And Kirk is gonna be one of those guys that'll be like Brady. He does everything that Brady does and then takes it one step further. The way he eats, has a full-time body coach, a hyperbaric chamber, brain training and monitoring, etc etc.
      Since college, he has had a year-round fitness regimen that focuses on flexibility and agility and prioritizes lengthening his muscles rather than bulking up as quarterback’s muscles must be long and elastic. He also trains for all three planes of motion in his body: the sagittal plane, frontal plane and transverse plane. The goal is to build strength, stability, power, endurance and mobility in each, all of which are taxed by the quarterback position.

      @@Paula-mv8im I love Cousins, and I’m glad the Falcons got him. But, I don’t think there is anyone like Brady. Who else has played QB in the NFL - successfully - into his early 40’s? No one. And, Brady has played injured much of his career, while playing in over 95% of his games without being held back by injury. A lot of the credit has to go to genetics and personality make-up, not just conditioning and preparation.
      The chances of their being another Brady in the next 50 years is very small.

    straight on point simms. kirk doesnt have elite physical traits. the crazy thing is that its similar than matt ryan. his arm fell off the cliff at this age. and the falcons let him go. i mean, the signing of kirk cousins is clearly worst than the penix pick. thats why i think there somebody very stupid who signed kirk. got to be the owner... i can not imagine that the gm and the coach fell in love with kirk while he had no other suitors AND already had their draft qb evaluations already.....

      @colecaine. Месяц назад

      I know it’s not your main point but Matt Ryan demanded to be cut or traded after Atlanta was publicly pursuing Watson.

    • @Paula-mv8im
      @Paula-mv8im Месяц назад +1

      Everybody said the same thing about Kirk when he turned 35 and Kirk played at an MVP level before he got hurt....1st to 5th in all of the major QB stats.
      Kirk was the Falcon's top target. Morris worked with Kirk when they were both in Washington. Morris also worked under Sean McVay who was Kirk's OC for two years. McVay has said this about Kirk that he is "a guy you can absolutely win a championship with."
      Need more proof? From Albert’s Breer’s article “Inside Kirk Cousins’ Departure from Minnesota and His Arrival in Atlanta”…..” To run the offense they’d (Morris and Fontenot) collectively envisioned, they needed a quarterback who could be an effective distributor, throw with accuracy and anticipation, and be a multiplier for the young skill-position guys. So, the ideal fit was a QB like Brees, who Fontenot and Pace had grown up with. Those in the Shanahan tree who were with Cousins in Washington, long felt Cousins, under the right circumstances, could be a quarterback who’d mirror Brees in a lot of ways.” The Falcons looked at other options, too, (like Mayfield, Fields, the draft) in case Kirk stayed with the Vikings.

    Chris can be comical sometimes, saying Kirk has just a good arm is laughable. Kirk has a strong arm how about going back to see is tight window throws his corner throws, even when he was coming out of college they said he makes all the nfl throws, so cut it out with the just good arm QB.
