I love your videos! Its not like other content creators who show us a video of them eating a perfect fruit bowl and babbling on about their perfect life. You spend the time to talk about the meat of the information and remind us that its ok not to be perfect and its normal!

Made me so happy to read this!! My favorite people to watch are ones that make me feel normal for being imperfect. I’m glad you get the same from mine!

This is something I've been implementing for the last 3 months, the positive and stress free mentality around food. I instead started focusing on exercising at least 5 times a week, being mindful of what i'm eating and making better food choices overall has decreased the anxiousness of losing or not losing the extra weight. I feel my body is resting better and my hormones are under control again. Allowing myself to take the time and planning in months instead of weighting myself every week to see if i lost some lbs or not. Awesome video, very practical tips Holly!

Fantastic meal plan; I have been eating in a similar fashion for over 15 years. Loved that you spoke about specific goals and being consistent w/o being perfect.

Great video! I needed to hear/see this today. I pretty much want what you laid out. Be able to run long distances, get stronger and toned, have energy to do workouts, etc.
I’ve just been overwhelmed with how to best approach it because I haven’t been in a good headspace the past few weeks (body image issues).
Lately, I’ve had that “need” to ride 25miles because I had two slices of pizza and some drinks. Even though I eat pretty well most of the time.
    No bueno!
So, thank you for making this video. It’s really helpful! 👍🏻

Holly, you have no clue what this video means to me. I’ve always been overweight and use emotional eating as my comfort for many years. When I went to college my eating habits got worse because I was on my own and could do whatever I wanted. Some days I wouldn’t eat and some days it was all I did. When I got into running, I felt like I fell further into my body image problems. I placed such high value on food and began giving food morality. I have also heard people say “eat to fuel your workouts” but always felt bad because I’m overweight so I always try to eat less. It’s a daily struggle but right now I’m working on framing my mindset around the things I’m doing right instead of fixating on things I do wrong.
You’re so on point with the drink advice. I’ve been consuming alot of random beverages that are affecting my eating patterns.

Awesomeness recap of your eating habits, of course, I've gleaned all the nutrition tips you've taught us for 7 years (yup, including those in TRE) before you started your own channel. I'm actually pretty good on eating, well except the salmon, and that chick pea pasta also foams up and makes a mess - LOL. Thank you Coach Holly you are the number 1 influence on my healthy choices over the last 7 years, it has made a very positive difference in my life.

Extremely good advice. Seven years ago I was overweight could not tie my shoes, I then lost 55 pounds. Losing the weight was easy, keeping a healthy weight not so much. I had to learn how to eat proper and also too, for my choice of sport I do. I still struggle with sweets. I have cut them out and consider them Bad but want them so much. I know it will always be a chore to eat right but I am getting there. I am happy now to just go a pound out an easy 10 K at will, get on my bike for long ride or swim 2500Meters. Cheers

Loved how you called a coffee treat a fun coffee: I do need to add something to my coffee. I love almond milk so going to try to stick to adding almond milk to it and not creamer.

Great video, thanks for sharing your secrets. Planning my first 50K this summer so fuel is going to be a big part of my strategy and this is great info. My problem is getting enough energy from the food I eat. I seem to have a misconnection somehow and looking for a system.

Listen to your body - definitely might need to eat a little more frequently! And definitely throughout your training runs. Casy is right - after your first 50K you will feel invincible.

I’m always ravenous and I’m not sure if I’m just being fat or if my body truly needs the calories. I’m more active than I’ve ever been and my weight generally only fluctuates up and down a few pounds. I rarely ever feel satiated which leads to more snacks in between. I do eat low carb though so maybe I’m just constantly teetering between energy sources. 🤷‍♂️
