    Been using Coros Pace 3 for more than 6 months now. The app and Training Hub software is so much better than Garmin. It was built for athletes, and no useless data. All metrics you got are meaningful to your training.

    Yes, you hit home. I can't recognize myself right now, but I'm going back to at least walking. I will be better in my 40s than I was in my 30s. I still have time!!!

    I'm at that point where it's starting to feel like part of me, I run 3 times a week for sure. And sometimes even a 4th. The First mile is always a struggle, but then it gets better. By the time I'm done, I'd much rather keep going! Just keep at it and it'll get easier! Mind, I say easier, not easy :D

    Yo Holly! You pump me up! I have been watching your videos for the last few months and they really really helped me! I just finished my first 100 mile ultramarathon! I have been in the Army for 12 years and always just suffered through my run but you showed me how to get through these long training runs with the right nutrition and gear! It really helped get me through this huge goal of mine! Thank you!🤘🏼

    Thank you!!! I try everything you suggest!!! Making running part of my schedule for the week…my busiest work days are my rest days…. surprisingly…some times I have the energy & time to do a quick drill run for 15 min and I feel fabulous!!!! I do your warmups before each run & just hearing your voice makes me so motivated. It’s week 12 for me & it’s still hard to get out of the door…so you saying that it’s hard for you still after 12 years…makes me have the motivation go on & to keep running… I completed a 5k and now working towards half marathon in March in NYC…I feel my life has taken an expected turn at my age 56…bc I had given up on running in my 40s…thinking I’m not made for running & just hated it…now I’m starting to actually enjoy it. 😊 Appreciate your running experience & gems!

    Yep, that is my problem, I'm not consistent with anything in my life. No surprise exercise is the same, not consistent. I have goals too, but having goals isn't enough. It's frustrating, I'm going to save this video and play it often

    Very good advice Holly. I am an older triathlete. It never gets easy. There are days that I do not want to go to my gym. the pool (or open water), or jump on the bike. I do it saying just go through the motions. That is the discipline. My running before were 2 Km workouts, now they are 7KM workouts. A long run of 15 K's just for enjoyment. My times, heartrate are improving. I am happy to say with the discipline I have made I qualified for the Canada Age group Team and I am going to Spain for the worlds in June 2025. Now I know why I pushed through the challenges and pain. Cheers

    Binge watched your old videos and I hope it is okay I comment frequently on videos. It is just part of my personality to comment on videos in general. I always thought try to be respectful and polite. I always follow the golden rule as I get older. That rule seems so basic but it is the key to a harmonious society

    I would say an important thing for runners to remember is that it's supposed to be difficult. If it wasn't then it would completely lose its meaning. The whole idea of it is the physical challenge it presents. It's the absolute foundation of what makes running great.

    I workout 🏋️ but I don’t run 🏃 because I have exercise induced asthma and just got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in September but it is very well controlled.

    Thanks for this video. Been thinking about getting new running shoes. I'm a 49-yo beginning runner and little overweight. Currently I have Adidas Runfalcon 5 but been wanting shoes with more cushion. Would you recommend Hoka Clifton 9 or Bondi 8? I have high arch and left foor has slight overpronation.

      I would say maybe Clifton! Bondi rubs my arch on occasion and I don’t think I’ve heard the same about Clifton. It’s been a while since I’ve run in them but I believe them to feel more neutral against any shape foot. Hope this helps!

    Thanks for the video. I have never heard of Coros, but I definitely don’t love my Garmin. It is too hard to navigate with the menus. So, I have been using my Apple Watch, but looking for something more geared for running. 😊

    There was an ultrarunner that did 3 runs a week. It was possibly 4. They were all long runs. It changed my mindset on training, but I've found I do way better only taking or two days off every 7-10 days or so.

    Are you using a chest strap for HRM or just using the watch? And do you find the HRM of the watch accurate?

      I use the arm band from COROS for HR - I show it in the middle of the vid! I find it to be quite accurate compared to when I’ve worn a chest strap.

    I have the Pace 2 and I love it. It is ultra lightweight and it has all of the functions I need + Coros keeps upgrading the app and adding new things.
