My Grandparents had my dad and uncle in their 40s. My grandparents took them campin in their RV all the time. They had more time off to travel because of having them later. Your family reminds me of them
I am now a grandmother, but when I had a diaper bag, I would always have at least two complete changes of clothes. Probably 3! So extra onesies, singlets, socks, cardigan or jacket etc. You never know when your baby is going to have a number 3 diaper explosion! Love the history of your bag. Thank you for sharing.
My boys are 19, 16, & 14 and I *still* have a couple of their diapers stashed away in one of their bathroom drawers. I just can't bear to throw them away. Congratulations, again! Wade is so sweet!
I love the Indestructibles book series for my diaper bag. I used to carry board books around but the Indestructibles are so much lighter and take up less space.
Only thing I had when my babies got a bit older than yours was some rattle toys , as was a happy distraction when changing their nappies. ... instead of trying to put their hands places u dont want them to or try to roll! But also handy if out and about to entertain them if fussy in pram or highchair etc.... but that's only for the future 💛 I also always had a book in there too as mine girls loved me reading stories to them and always came in handy. What a beautiful story behind your bag , i gave so many of my things on to friends too ... it's such a lovely way to pass on the love joy they had to u 💕 it's mad so many other countries having so much more freedom at the moment, we are still on a very hard lockdown here in Ireland , my eldest only going back to school on monday. And nowhere to open until atleast June.
Thats pretty much all the things I have put in my diaper bag when Noah was a newborn. When he got a little older not sure how much older I started putting toys & books in my back to entertain him. And toys seriously saved me a lot of times. And Cheerios when I took him grocery shopping when he got old enough. Oh I forgot to mention a external battery pack to charge my phone if I cant plug it in.

I don't know if you have tried using a cloth baby wearing carrier but nice to have one of those in there to wear him into a store or if out on a walk if he isn't content being in carseat

Babies change all the time. My daughter looked just like me when she was a baby and child, but now that she grown she looks a lot like my husband and has many of his mannerisms. Love your story and always follow you :)
