I was soooo excited to see you again! You are the best mamma, and I adore you. Please come back as often as you can. There's just something very special & endearing about you. Your little twin Wade is a doll and as precious as he can be. I can't wait to see "dada look-alike" Theo, progress. And I love his name.🩵 Wade's name just suits like to a tee. Was your breast-feeding *magic* for when the baby's got their shots at the doctor too??
Breastfeeding is very magic! I work in the emergency care department and we had a very sick child come in. They weren't calming down no matter what fun tricks I did. Mom breastfed and BOOM happy baby.
I miss that emotional person from being a young Mom. So much love and emotion inside our bodies in this stage. I wish I could have had the second. My son is grown up and I find I miss those intense love moments. So, don’t feel bad for those tears, it means you are in a great stage of life, no matter your age. ❤❤❤❤❤ I think you are so lucky. I wanted the second and would have had one in my 40s.
I breastfed all three of my kids exclusively. My oldest stopped just before her 2nd birthday, my middle stopped at 10 months when she started walking and did not want to be tethered down (I even tried pumping and giving it to her in a cup but she was not interested- but I also discovered shortly after that that I was pregnant with baby #3 and maybe the milk tasted different to her?), and my youngest was a month shy of turning 3 years old when they gave it up. They are all grown up now, but I do miss those days of breastfeeding them all and the snuggles. I have to agree with you on the immunity that breastfeeding gives babies. My kids were pretty healthy when they were little, and even when they went to school they avoided a lot of sicknesses. I'm glad to hear you are enjoying your breastfeeding journey, all 1200+ days of it, and hopefully it will continue until Theo is 2 or 3 or older.
Awe, thank you for sharing your breastfeeding journey! It’s such a special time. I hope Theo breastfeeds for at least two years, but kids have their own plans. Haha!
Wow!!! The generators change!!! I'm older but definitely stop letting baby get milk about 6-8 WEEKS at night!!!! And sleep through the night! Definitely do what works for mom and baby ❤❤
My breastfeeding journey was very different with my 2 boys. My first son was in the NICU for the first 2 weeks and we struggled with latching and really we were learning together. I had to supplement with formula but we made it to about 5 months. With my 2nd I went in knowing so much more and it was much smoother and lasted 2 years. I used to feel so guilty that I was not as successful the first time. But now I realize I can't blame myself for not knowing what I didn't know. When a baby is born so is a mom and you both learn and grow together. Thank you for sharing your story with us.
I’m pregnant with my second little one, due in July! My first is 10 years old and my breastfeeding journey ended at 2 months. I’m praying this journey goes a lot better and I’m able to nurse as long as possible!
If you have questions, or concerns, a lactation expert may be very helpful. I’m a nurse, and I still needed support after one month of successful breastfeeding, but I was still unsure if things…I had a baby who cluster fed, and I did develop Raynaud’s of my nipples. I managed to breastfeed for 18 months!!
That was so fun to hear! My now 3 year old son also stopped breastfeeding a couple months ago and it was difficult for me! Even though i really was ready for it to be over. Still nursing my one year old, so im curious what te the number of my breastfeeding days are lol. Gonna look it up right now!
1122 days in a row! The total amount is a bit more, nursed my oldest until she was around 1 and then she stopped, she really was not interested and only wanted to drink from a cup.
The APA now advises nursing until two years It is much harder to have to deal with bottles in the middle of the night and when going out. If there is a lot of pain need to check baby for ties and proper latch
It’s been, and still is, such a beautiful journey! Some stages are more beautiful than others (teething 😂). But after your 5, I’m sure you’ve experienced it all!!
We had 3 kiddos and all combined I nursed for 7 1/2 years … we hardly missed any sleep because we co-slept or early on when they were new borns, we would have them right next to the bed in an attached co-sleeper crib(I can’t remember the name , but it attached to our mattress) .. & I just had a very dim light I could turn on but did a lot if possible with no light (even diaper changes , lol) and all our kids were great sleepers and not early risers either (thank you Jesus !! lol)
If your kid calls them “milks” it’s time to quit. Feeding a kid who’s 2 years old every 2 hours…you’re doing for yourself, not the kid. At this point, you’ll be 70 and still nursing. 😏
There are a few times a month I have to be gone during the day or overnight for work, so he’d be bottle fed during those times. Otherwise, I fed on demand (aside from nights) for most of those 1200 days.

Tears are also part of this journey, so please dont feel you have to make excuses.
Thank you for this video❤
Thanks for the video, what a great way to count in days 😊 I’m on Day 1415, and my second child is 10 months old 🥰

Such fabulous information available now. So cool. My breastfeeding journey was over 20 years ago.

I understand your tears. I cried when I weaned as well.
I loved breast feeding and yes It was difficult to start😮 But 5 babies later 😊

My mom breastfed all six of her children. She never pumped. Is there an advantage to pumping while breastfeeding?
❤🙏

Why did you pump if you were an oversupplier? Was it so it didn't come out so fast and choke them?

Sweet memories. Crying is good.
