Stunning images especially the cracked mud one that was 👌 and ticked all the boxes. Another one that would look fantastic in print. I've visited this location a couple of times but never had the light. I will return. The whole area (N Norfolk coast) has loads of potential as long as you aren't looking for mountains!! 😂
Since I actually started producing stuff for my channel (in german, in case you or anyone would take a look) I deliberately searched for other small channels to find out what's out there besides the big names. Since doing so the algorythm (can't remember the spelling) keeps showing me channels of that category and every now and then I find gold nuggets like this! Thank you for a wonderful video! Looks like an incredible area to be in and shoot!
Hey Matthies, thanks so much for your kind words, very glad you enjoyed it! The area is incredible, if you're ever over this way well worth a visit. I too love searching out for smaller channels. Will give you a watch,
It’s a coal barn mate. Used to have a lovely old wreck of a boat in front of it which was a very popular composition. The dried mud flat worked well. Nice work
Cheers Jamie, yeah good shout on the coal barn, I'd never heard of the place till the day I got there and one of the guys told me it was a granary do it stuck 🤣 glad you enjoyed it. A local was telling us about the old wreck, apparently they moved it due to health and safety (scared someone might get a splinter)
Got to echo with what Steve said, absolutely cracking video. I think you really pulled something out of the hat regarding the wreck and as far as the granary go's, you're telling porkies about not really your thing.🤣 You've do a fantastic job with the images. Well done mate brilliant.
Thanks a lot mate, I wasn't best pleased with the shipwreck photos if I'm honest, but they're ok. The granary worked out loads better than I honestly thought they would. Such a great day 👍
Imho the best shot from your phototrip is the vertical photo from the house with the mudflat in the front. A lot of depht, balance and nice moody atmosfere , that would be a very good portfolio photo. All the rest are keepers for sure , but they simply lack that extra feel/ look i like in landscape scene. Keep shooting :) .
Hi Martin, I'm heading to Hunstanton tomorrow to get the wreck with the tide coming in, but also the cliffs and some close/macro shots for texture etc. I enjoyed your vlog mate and I have subscribed.
Thanks Andrew, yes I believe you're right. I blame Colin for telling me it was a granary 🤣 I'd never heard of the place till that morning or id have done my research.
Hey Neil, thanks so much for watching, with the 'compromise' it's one of those things where you don't realise how good something is till you get it back on the PC.
The tide is different all the way through the year in a really high tide, the whole place floods, always check the tide timetable is better to be safe than sorry first time I’ve seen you guys nice video keep up the good work. 😊
Thanks so much for watching Andy, glad you enjoyed it 🙂 I'm sure it does flood over, I guess the local got his timetable wrong on this occasion but well worth considering.
Fantastic location! Sure looks as though there are plenty of options for compositions. Yup, have to watch those tides. Many don't consider them and need rescuing here along the coast of Nova Scotia. Those cliffs are fantastic! Good to see that the sun made an appearance too. Great work! Bruce and Otis
Thank you Bruce and Otis for watching, it's a great location and one I plan to return to. The cliffs were stunning but hope to return at a higher tide to make the most of it. Of course, need to be careful too.
Thanks Anthony, I was really drawn to the flowers, first thing I noticed when we pulled up to the location. I just had to make them a part of the scene.
Really enjoyed watching that Martin, like i said in the FB group that image at 15:50 is fantastic mate, the dried mud pool in the foreground is a fantastic element leading you up to the barn and the edit is 👌 Also liked the wreck image at the start although like you said a high tide would simplify the scene.
about five year ago, there was a beautiful old wooden boat wreck in front of that building. It was fantastic for a photo shoot thousands of photographers used to go there and then the council in the Winston decided to take it aways 😢
Good video. I am heading to London for 2 weeks in Sept and hope to do a day trip to somewhere along the cost. any suggestions that are easily accessible by bus or foot.
Thank you, loads of different options, but you'll need at least a train ride I think. Depends what you want from the coast, Brighton is good for street photography and long exposure seascapes of the old pier. Southwold is a lovely seaside town again with good long exposures. If you want dramatic there is the white cliffs of Dover or Durdle Door.
@@MHLandscape Thx, will be taking a train from London to wherever then a bus from there. Ocean, landscape, beach, are all good. I would love to get down near the ocean like in the video.
I can see why it's photographed so much, great place. Was very conscious of the tide, the bloke we were speaking to was telling us of a few people that have had issues.
@@MHLandscape Lol we get very high tides sometimes, the whole road down to the coal barn floods while we are treated to pictures of paddle boarders whizzing past submerged cars with only an inch or two of roof showing, (happens every year)it pays to check the tide times and park where there are no puddles whatsoever and the ground is bone dry all along that stretch of coast, it’s notorious but beautiful.
The trick with the gear head is outstanding! Thanks for the tip!!!
Thanks Walter, thought I'd try something different 🙂
very nice. love the ICM photo..
Thanks John glad you liked it.
Great vlog. Love the painterly effect
Thanks so much John

Thanks mate, I'm printing it this weekend 😁 it's a great location and agree N Norfolk is an incredible landscape that needs more visits.

Another great video Martin as Chris said i really love that 15.50 shot , cracking mate.
Thanks so much Simon, glad you enjoyed it. Really happy with how that image turned out.

Great video Martin & a great location too.👌👍
Thanks so much Mark 🙂
Beautiful mate! Love the mud crack shot!
Cheers mate
This is a much loved local landmark, your pictures did it justice, thank you.
Thanks so much for watching, glad you enjoyed the photos.
Awesome vlog and images one of you best mate
Thanks so much mate, we all need to organise a trip there.
That wreck is a simple top-down drone shot if ever I’ve seen one. Come on chaps 🤣
And 16:01 is absolutley brilliant
Hahaha didn't even cross my mind, but a great point mate. It was a bit windy and I'm not that brave with the mini 3 yet 🤣
Wow mate what a video, compliments by fantastic images
Thanks so much mate, was a brilliant day out!!!

Hi Steve, thanks for watching and subscribing. If you haven't been before I'm sure you will love it. Hopefully you get better conditions than we got.
Smashing video! The last image is really wonderful, so simple and captured so we'll! 🎉
Thanks so much Neil, glad you enjoyed it, I see you went on the trip to Svalbard, I've got your video cued up to watch later.
I believe the building at Thornham is a coal barn?
nice video and great images. The ICM of the boat ia good image.
Thanks Andrew, yes I believe you're right. I blame Colin for telling me it was a granary 🤣 I'd never heard of the place till that morning or id have done my research.
A fine set of images, that last one with the single cloud turned out really good for a "compromise" image...enjoyed the video !

Some lovely images there Martin. The colours in those summer flowers really enhance the pictures of the hut. Looks a great location

The local we spoke to was telling us about that, such a shame, seems to moved it for health and safety reasons 🙄
Did you try focus stacking as an option to get the mud flat image sharp all the way through?
I did consider focus stacking, but it was a very breezy day, so chose not to.

The old coal barn, much photographed locally. Btw take our tides seriously, very seriously.
