Reverie has been building upon the same game for about the last 15 years. I didn't really 'get it' 15 years ago but I am always curious to casually watch their progression from afar
That coat of arms for the French is the royal crest of the English Royal family, I do hope they patch that out, it's only meant to be Fleur de Lis' for France
@boredcloud well in fairness the colours are right at least for the English one, it's reversed colours on that for Scotland, this game still looks promising
I played the previous games from the Kingdom Wars series. They are very good indie Total War kind of games. Great to see you cover this new one! Looks interesting.
What have you been smoking to say they are good games? They are copy pasted from previous iterations with no innovation. UI and interfac is STILL trash after like 4-5 games. They are literally re-using assets over and over again even when you go from medieval to renaissance period, same exact thing, nothing changed.
Very confusing, I also think the English royal arms are for Stuarts and not Tudors so it doesn't belong. EDIT: I checked their steam forums and a developer said in a thread that files got mixed up on the coat of arms things and they will patch it.
Looks like there are some pathing issues they need to fix. You clicked units to attack and they just stood there because they couldn't seem to find an open path to the enemy. Looks interesting though.
See, no, I hate this... sigh. We're in the middle of a Siege, the Enemy is about to launch their attack... and NOW we're conscripting Units and building Heavy Machinery? Just POOF! Like that stuff doesn't take time?
I kinda feel bad about the company, it is an indie studio that to my understanding only had 1 lowkey success being medieval kingdom wars. Because of this they basically use the past games as a template for the next, understandable because of their lack of resources but this means that the issues of past games tend carry over. Their games have a very good concept and a big scope but they simply seem to be unable to bring it to full potential and as time passed their games just feel more and more outdated. Once you play them there are plenty of bugs, balance issues, ugly ui, etc. They probably are unable to properly fix all this because from what I've seen their games are all flops, except for medieval kingdom wars so no money. Maybe they get government grants or something because otherwise I do not understand where the money comes from, unless there's only like 1or 2 dudes doing these games, in which case they have my respect, but they should reduce the scope of the game and really polish it.
Oh look another kingdom wars game coming out with the exact same graphics, UI, gameplay look, interface (bar a few exceptions). This is shit guys, they are re-using the same game they have been copying over and over for the past 5+ years (kingdom wars) again and again asking for full price every time. DO. NOT. FALL. FOR. THIS.
Are these games not scams? They have multiple parent companies all using the same assets to make the same game. I mean next week they are releasing a copy cat again called the small kingdoms and their entire history is unfinished recreated copy paste asset games. I don't understand what people see in it ...
Seems a bit arcadey not to mention claims to be history game but gets some key pieces of history like coats of arms WRONG. And dares to show it to the public.
People who actually shaped history - knights, lords, ministers, captains, generals et al are non-existent. But instead we have birthing units and attacking chicken in the middle of a battle. A nonsensical Frankenstein collection of dated and lazy "genre conventions". Calling these games "historical" is an insult to history.

and the coat of arms for England is actually Scotland

No they aren't lmao, they're ugly cash-grab rereleases of the same badly-functioning game like 5 times

This game seems pretty unique id like to see more
Make it a series it's a very good game
If you're interested in the 100 years war Lord Sumption's 5 volume history is fantastic (last book was recently published)
at the beginning why was the French flag the English Royal banner and why was England's flag the Crest of aquitaine?
Very confusing, I also think the English royal arms are for Stuarts and not Tudors so it doesn't belong. EDIT: I checked their steam forums and a developer said in a thread that files got mixed up on the coat of arms things and they will patch it.
@@lordcarve right, the error sounds simple enough to do, good that they are aware of it.

They never fixed anything like that in the last 4 games so wouldn't count on it
Time to do some catch up reading of Machiavelli.
They put a Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth coat of arms as representation of Grand Duchy of Lithuania. 🤔
Polish eagle is wrong - its a new, modern version xD
I would like to see a serie with this game, please.
Whats the series on the crusades you mentioned at around 2:00?
Are you going to make a video on the release of Scourge of War Remastered?
Most likely. I just haven’t had the chance/time yet.
Looks like the same medieval game they put out years ago to me...
How historically accurate is the game?
Makes me wonder what the skirmish mode looked like
Funny I live at York England 😂 I really enjoyed watching you play this game
Constantinople fell in 1453, and the game is set in 1510 as per this video, so yes it would've been Istanbul rather than Constantinople.
no hes right it was still called constantinople even turks called it that just in turkish which is konstantiniyye
The city name instanbul wasent in use till kemel attiturk changed the name in the 1920s
@@JerryIDK I see, I didn't know that
i hope this 5:20 smooth with only 10 fps is fixed after release :D
different is good :)

Its $22

Hard pass, not polished enough
The Ottomans conquered Constantinople in 1453. The game starts in 1509. So it would be called Istanbul at the time of the game start.

Units doesn’t fit in renaissance…
Unsuccessful game
