I was invited by Michelin to head to Portugal to test out 3 tyres:
MICHELIN POWER 6s
MICHELIN POWER GP2s
MICHELIN ANAKEE ROADS
On Day 2, we tested Michelin ANAKEE ROADS on the road and the POWER 6s and POWER GP2s on Track.

Oh Kate i just love your confidence, i have only been riding 12 months having got my A license in 2023 at the ripe old age of 67, i wish i had the same level when cornering especially in the wet, thanks for some great videos.

Indeed Kate you are right about brand loyalty, I experimented with lots of tyres 20+ years ago when commuting my 1000cc Thunderace into London, I soon realized the standard tyres for that bike were the best easily, hit the power a bit too hard out of a corner and the front wheel would lift with the rear firmly planted while leant over, never looked back. We are all such lucky bunnies to have such great tyres to choose these days, thank you moto gp and world superbikes
The track was good for your riding and good tyres can trust did wonders for confidence. 👍 great lines kate. ❤

That 1390 looked a beast on track. It was an interesting video regarding the range available and good to see them in use.
A top job Kate, I loved the commentary during the slalom bit. Great confidence shown on the track and you learned a lot from Mr Racer man using his lines. Many thanks for sharing.

Great review thanks Kate. I believe Reg Local has just fitted some Anakee Roads so interested to see how he gets on long term. It sound like they are similar to Dunlop Mutant maybe? That would be an interesting comparison too. Great track work as always 👌

@@UsernameKate Evidently! Yeah makes a difference when you've been there and know what's up! A big 'cheers' to the rest of the weekend! The sun's making an appearance but the temperature isn't playing ball just yet to declare the season open up here in deepest Scotland. Not that many people ride so it's refreshing watching your entheusiasm and knowledgebase to be frank so a big thank you for your work and efforts keeping us in Timbuktu in touch and entertained!
I attended a presentation by Michelin at the Dainese London store. They were doing a great sales job on the Anakee Road 👍

I've had Michelin Pilot Road 4, Road 5 and Road 6 tires on 3 different bikes. I've loved them all! I wasn't able to find the limit of the Road 6 on a KTM 1290 SAS on the road, so I think something spicy like the Power 6 would be wasted on me.
Just got a SAS and want to get off the Mita’s tyres asap. The front doesn’t give me confidence at all.
Contemplating Anakee Roads or maybe R6 GT?? Decisions.
@@blade1535 I don't have any experience with Anakee tires. Apart from gravel roads here and there out of necessity, I got the SAS to be used on paved roads. The Road 6 (not even the GT) performed perfectly and I didn't find the limit on the street. I pushed it hard, too. They did very well in the rain, as intended. I've just traded the SAS in for a BMW R1250RT and bought the Road 6 GT's for that because it's about 100 pounds heavier. I haven't tried the GTs yet...just keeping them on-hand in case I catch a flat. In that case, I'll mount the R6GTs right away.

Just swapped over from S22's for the Road 6's myself. Only done a hundred miles so far so not yet in a position to comment :)
They will come into their own when it rains :)
Road 6s are phenomenal in the wet. Of all the tyres I have used so far they’re the only ones that give me full confidence even in a downpour/deluge.
22:58 of course it isn't. They want you to like the new bigger 1390 more then the old 1290. So downspec the old, upspec the new😉
No, its not that deep. Michelin literally just borrowed what they could get from a lot of willing dealerships. It's not that calculated.

They were both from 2 different dealerships. It was literally a case of ask to borrow, supply if dealer willing :)
