And this is the first scene we see Bumblebee in Age of Extinction and we see that he has done the same thing here, likely for the same reason he did in TF Prime - to disguise himself against those who know what he looks like without having to change his vehicle form. Allies will overlook the color reversal but hostiles on the lookout may be looking for something too specific and decide he isn't a match for what they're looking for
