Nice to see people fishing, very calming sport. I wouldn’t think they eat what they catch though, having heard many opinions about what is in the canal waters. I have also seen many videos of people magnet fishing there and some of the verrrry interesting things that they find. 🍀

Almost every bridge has scrap metal on the path, fished out with magnets.

Here in my city there is a business where one can take scrap metals of all sorts to sell. Metals are traded on the open stock markets and the buying price varies from day to day based on market movement. Do you have such businesses there? If so, depending on their location and storage and transport issues, this can be a small income.

There are scrapyards that will buy scrap metal but they are few and far between so you would need a car to get to them.

@@tamitng If it was worth anything people would not abandon it. They are too lazy to take it home.
It forbidden to kill/eat the fish, that does not stop people from overseas, it's called "cultural differences" and I don;t suppose they buy a licence either!

Thanks for that. Best one for ages (perhaps because it was real-time) just wish it was longer. Your proposed 'long, real-time' channel will be just the ticket, although I'll miss your commentary. Also, wouldn't mind seeing some shots from your point of view in the stern looking down the length of the narrowboat. Anyway, good fortune and health to you from Ireland.

Thank you, the plans for the real time videos are not finalised yet, so may have some commentary etc. I'll still be doing my regular cruising vids on this channel, along with lots of other stuff. We'll see...

Have you noticed much garbage in the canals around towns during your travels? Minimal List ran into a lot of garbage in the canals around Birmingham, they said it was even worse than London.

Some people are pig! Makes me mad seeing how filthy some of the canals are! A national treasure they!
