Hi Vince, It was an absolute pleasure to meet you and spend time with you, thank you for the mention as well. This is a cracking vlog and you've really captured the essence of this stunning stretch of canal. Thank you for moving 'Aitch' forward as well so we could moor up and wait for the lock gate to be fixed, you're an absolute gent. Take care pal, stay strong, and hopefully we'll meet up with you and Ashby again at some point on our journeys. Andy & Lesley
Hi Andy & Lesley! The little mention was the least I could do! Thanks for taking my mind off of things, and tell Lesley that the cake she made was the best I've eaten for ages. Hope to bump into you again sometime. All the best Vince!
Sorry to hear about your mum, I lost my mum when I was 23 . That was 52 years ago, the bottom fell out of my dads and my world. Mum is always with me though and so will your mum be with you. Phil.
So sorry sir to hear of the passing of your mother. It was wonderful seeing her spend time with you on your narrowboat. You are a fine man and keep plugging forward. Your videos have been a joy and comfort for me. Thank you so much for all the time you have devoted to making these awesome videos. Kenny C Oregon USA
So sorry to hear about your lovely Mum....hold the special moments you made together on your boat close to your heart and I am sure she will be always on the water with you. Xxx
That was a very lovely video Dad, very pretty countryside and village. I can’t believe the price of those private moorings that we see, what a strange rule they can’t even eat their own fruit they grow 😂 how does that make sense? Would be lovely to have a one though. Panny Nat will be missed very much, she was one of the strongest and happiest ladies I knew, which I will always admire ❤️ I will miss seeing her little comments on here. She loved watching your vlogs. Love you dad xxxxx
Such sad news about Aunt Pat, I really appreciate you messaging me right after it happened. Such a special lady. You and Debbie and always in my thoughts. That looks like a great spot to retire, some extra land, growing veggies and more but expensive. Proud to have popular Ashby as my doggie cousin. As always I love seeing around the small villages you get to.
Very sad Linda! Thanks for thinking about us. Yes that place would have kept me busy growing stuff! Cropredy was a nice place. All the best from me and cousin Ashby haha!
What a beautiful stretch of cut.! Thanks again for sharing. The Oxford suits you, as did the Stort. Very sad news Vince. My thoughts are with you and your family. All the best, Bill.
It's so sad when we lose our families I lost all mine it's just me and my pets I love dearly life has to go on and i count my blessings every day and i live a humble life. Hugs sent your way.
My heart condolences on your loss Vince. I lost my Mum in August of this year too, she was 89 and no matter how old they, or we, are it still jars. As always thanks for the vlog, you really do make it feel like we are there with you. My favourite channel on RUclips. As always my best wishes from parts Czech.
So sorry to hear that you lost your mom. You've been awfully lucky to have had her near/with you all these years. I lost my father when I was 11 and my mother at 19. She's gone, but you have lots of years of memories. Take care.
A lovely vlog Vince. The Oxford Canal looks very nice. Beautiful surroundings. I miss your mum, my sister, as well. She was a special person. She will always be in my heart, too. Keep safe. Love you, Aunt Babs XXX
Sorry for your loss and you have my condolences. Nice to see Clair checking up on ya. love the look around of that village! you do a great job of it. Well you an Ashby be safe and enjoy your selfs. Best Wishs . Steve
Hi Vince, Great to see you back with us, after your very sad loss. Reminds us all that life is a countdown counter, and we must live life to the full, which you are now doing. Hope to meet up one day on our travels. Floaty AKA Nobby Hall to his mates 🙂
I thought that was you! Clare & Allen got a bit delayed waiting for work on the boat to be finished. They are still working there way down. They are somewhere near Hemel at the moment. Hope to see you out here! look after yourself, and take your time around them locks haha!
First: Many condolences on your loss. May her memory always be a blessing. Second: Cropredy is, in fact, a lovely village. They very much are supported by the fact that Fairport Convention have been holding their annual festival there for years, and every year 20,000 very friendly folk-rock fans decend on them for 3-4 days in August and spend their money. The Brasenose in particular used to be the band's local, and holds its own 'Fairport Fringe Festival'. :) It's much less sleepy for that weekend!
So sorry for your loss mate. . . a lovely Lady. Great cruise and good to see Claire joining you and Ashby. Shame the mooring didn’t work out. . . you have much more cruising to do yet bud. Take care my friend and safe travels.
Hello Vince, Christine and I are pleased to see you back. we do miss Pats comments and humour. Nice video Vince it brings out the english countryside with the summer in full swing. I rang up fenny marina a few years ago about mooring for a while, they made a fuss about the boats condition, and was it still being fitted out, if you live on board many of us are always busy doing little jobs! As it turned out our old boat is a little wide to get throuh one of the Napton locks, which needs the chamber re bricking (we have done Oxford many times in previous boats). Looking forward to 8,000 and upward.😀 All the best C&P
Cheers mate! I thought it was strange to see that marina half empty. I thought it would down to penny pinching, and too expensive! All the best to you both and I'll see you on the next one!
That was a lovely trip, Vince, thanks for taking us along. Condolences to you and your family for the loss of your Mum, I bet she loved her travels on Aitch. The moorings did look lovely, but if you can't even eat your own apples, then I reckon you'd be best off swerving them when you win the lottery.
Beautiful cruise again Vince, love the little walks around village's. Sorry for your loss she seemed lovely. As you say she'll always be with you in heart wherever you are. Take care of yourself and give Ashby a cuddle from me. X

There are some lovely places on these canals. The licence is a bit like a council tax. And that covers it! Most of the time.
Beautiful vlog Vince. The scenery was stunning throughout and I can see why you would want one of those permanent moorings. Hi Vince, thank you for taking us on another journey through the UK's great countryside and explaining the rules of the permanent moorings. My uncle owned a farm in North Wales, he built an extra house because of the large family. The girls married and moved away; my eldest cousin took over the running of the farm. But the other two had employment that took them abroad. The newer house remained empty as it could not be let or sold to anyone not employed on the farm.
I'm so sorry to hear the sad news of your mum passing, may she rest in peace.
Thanks for posting and stay safe out there.

Yes Wayne. things are not going up a few pence here and there. they seem to be doubling and trebling in price! Look after yourself mate!
Does this area flood on occasion?
I have seen some pictures of flooding around here. As the canal runs alongside the River Cherwell.
I assume the narrow boaters with the mornings who cant consume their own crops but can sell them, are selling them to the other narrow boaters lol
Very good thinking Emma haha!
😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
Not sure about the comment of “not taking anything from the Government”. What about the grant to the CRT to keep the canals functioning ? Or the roads on which lorries deliver food and collect rubbish? And so much more. It’s not really possible to be totally off grid however hard we might try. We are all part of society to some extent
Anyway, sorry to hear of your loss, which is by far the greatest issue here
I've more than paid for all that with the many thousands of pounds of taxes that they have had off me over the years!!!
I know what you mean about the government poking their noses in. Im just the same. Neither a lender nor a borrower be.
That's a very apt saying for nowadays!
Be nice if we had some volume instead of relying on Google sub text, After all this time thought you would be perfect
Nobodies perfect, even you haha!
