Great video! You're the first RUclipsr based in Canada / US that makes a video about staying under 7 kg. (You might even be the first RUclipsr overall that makes a video on how to stay under 7 kg.) When travelling from Australia through Asia this is often enforced, and it's my biggest stress point travelling (flying) with camera gear. (I weigh my bag to check it's under the weight limit always, and/or make sure I can put stuff in my jacket pocket.) Glad to see a RUclipsr talking about the weight restrictions. (I use the WANDRD Prvke Lite as my carry-on for this reason, but I think the Brevite backpack you use is even lighter.)
Yeah it’s definitely a topic I don’t see any of on RUclips!! I’m always trying to beat the system before like putting my laptop and other smaller electronics in a laptop bag so I can bring more gear within the 7kg (most airlines just check the bigger backpack anyways) I was intrigued by the wandrd prvke lite!! How long have you been using it?
@VictorLaforteza I've used it since January 2023 including on two international trips. No one questioned me at the gates, which has happened with other backpacks. I also check my tripod to attract less attention at the check-in desk. (I'm a 160 cm ~5ft 2in female, so a lot of backpacks look huge on me, but not the Prvke Lite.) I also own a WANDRD Prvke 31L, but I've never flown with it internationally. I do miss the 5 missing pockets and the side compression strap to secure things in the side water bottlepocket that are on the Prvke 31L, but not on the Prvke Lite. (The missing 5 pockets are: No side key pocket, no bottom pocket, no secret passport pocket in the back panel, no pocket for spare camera batteries in the side access door and no tablet pocket in front of the laptop sleeve. I solve this using pouches and the pockets in front of the laptop sleeve.) I still love this backpack though, and use it more often than my 31L backpack. I'm only a hobby photographer though. I mainly photograph wildlife (including birds) with an APS-C camera and a 70 - 350 mm lens (105 - 525 mm eq on a full-frame).
@@asaperez-bercoff1873 Great to know these things! There are definitely a lot of good features on the Prvke 31L but yeah it's a compromise on size and weight!! I think with Prvke 31L airlines checked the weight of it like twice in the past 5 years. It was such a headache because I had some zoom lenses I had to carry on my "personal item"
Love this bag! One recommendation though (if you have another backpack like Pgytech onemo or something) switching out the soft dividers for hard dividers made me love this bag so much more!
My biggest complaint about this backpack is that the camera area opens from the front. I think this was a huge mistake when they made this backpack. I prefer a rear open bag. But I love the idea of a backpack that doesn't scream "I'm a camera backpack, please come steal me!" because 90% of camera backpacks out there look like camera backpacks!
I think I’m okay with it if it could lock the zippers somehow but other than that it’s still easy to open up when going through airport security. I do prefer the rear opening too though! Definitely a huge plus that it doesn’t look like a camera backpack
Thanks!! I’m not really a fan of telephoto but I did just get the tamron 28-200! A little heavier than both of these lenses but the range seems convenient!
Yeah, I've only really had a few. Some are super strict, some are super lenient!! When you're over the weight, it's hard to make it work unless you wanna risk some lenses breaking in the checked luggage.

That’s a great idea!!! Imma try it too

Cool compilation! I have a flight tomorrow, so this is really an on time video
Amazing!! Safe flight!!
I thought you would take as least one telephoto lens... Nice video btw~!

Can u tell us bout ur lighting setup ?
yeah! It’s a softbox for key light at 5600k and then a lantern for ambient blue and a projector light to do the circle!
First time I ever had a problem after close to 50 flights with my camera gear as hand luggage was on a budget flight from Hong Kong to Thailand 🙈

Victor!amazing - =)
Thanks!!!
