Abigail, thank you so much! Have been searching using 2 pieces of glass all afternoon. And finally, here YOU are! Fixin' to try! I have all kinds of leaves pressed in books, anywhere from a year old to over 20 years old. You have given me the inspiration to use them in this way! Thanx again! 😁

Plants should be pressed for at least a week to help it maintain color and shape

if anyone is from australia the reject shop has these frames and they actually come with two pieces of glass with no backing!! so you can skip the foam step

30 Minutes? Why not do it properly? If you leave them in the books for about 2 weeks, they will get fully dried and wont change color or start molding..

I was wondering how long leaf color last in resin.

Angie how was I being a “dipshit”? I care a lot about politeness in the Internet and cannot find anything offensive about my comment^^

True. The leaves have to be kept inside the book for at least one or two weeks so that they fully dry out.

Hello, I drew on a large and real leaf. I want to preserve the leaf and the drawing so that it does not crumble and break. How do you do it? Thank you for the creative, painterly and illustrative artistic answer

They will, yeah. She didn't press them for very long or use UV resistant glass. The remaining moisture may cause some issues and they will fade in color relatively quickly. Still nice and pretty and simple, though.

Hotrod Hog parchment paper is slightly different than wax paper. But for this use, it shouldn’t matter
