Try putting a Chinese RED paint down first... then the Glue... then the Gold Leaf The Masters always put RED under the Gold Leaf... it makes it Richer.

I don't know how well oil paint would work but you could try it out. And yes, plaster of paris should also work. I've only used it a little bit so I don't know if it would crack at all.
Beautiful. Ok probably dumb question lol. If you put glue on the whole half circle how come it doesn’t stick to the whole circle. I see it only sticks to top. But if there’s clue on the whole things why just the rings ? Lol see lol
The gold leaf is very fragile and tore while I was trying to place it on the texture, so it is just something that I can add more leaf to, to fill in those other areas that had glue on them.
Looks lovely. I will likely try something like this as I want to add more of my original art in my home. I would have added beautiful crystals or stones to enhance the 3D design. Thanks for sharing!!
Beautiful work , thank you for sharing your time and talent. I was wondering how thin or thick should i spread the spackling to prevent cracking or is there a way to seal it after?
I think any thickness (for me at least) over 1/4 inch is too thick and will crack. I've only had a couple crack and those were ones that I made way too thick.
@@amandasstudio beautiful work.. this question was also on my mind. After structuring the paste, do we need to squirt glue before applying color? What kind of glue? Thank you
Hi. Such a beautiful piece. Newbie here. I see that you used modeling paste for some of your pieces and spackle for this one. How do they compare? I am thinking of doing a large piece on canvas for home deco. Worried about cracks. What would you recommend and any tips? Thanks.
I've been trying out whatever I can find for texture mediums. I like spackle because it is less expensive and as long as I don't make it too thick it doesn't crack for me.
Put the spackle down, crate the arches or shape on the canvas with tools and let it dry. I let mine dry for a day. Add the glue for the gold leaf and then finished it with acrylic paints.
Nice! Ive a problem with the glue that I use for foil. You use one king but recommend another in the description (the one that I use, but not to happy with). Any other recommendations for foil glue?
The kind that I put in the description is what I am using in the video, I just put it in a different container. This glue dries tacky so that the gold leaf sticks to it.
I love your texture art pieces! The videos are so relaxing to watch and inspiring to try. Thank you for showing the use of gold foil- it looks awesome. After watching a tutorial I love seeing the full view of the final product. However things pop up on the screen and cover the images. Is there a way to show the final image beforehand in full?
i was looking for some inspiration for swirls with modeling paste.. this ws great help thankyou
Glad it was helpful!
I gotta give this a shot!!!!
I hope you enjoy it if you try it out!

Love it! Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi your work is amazing. Can I know how to seal it without collecting dust at last? And did u apply varnish after completing the art work?
Before varnishing or sealing it, you can used canned air to remove any dust or hair from the surface.
Love this👏👏👏👏
Thank you!
Does the paste need to be wet/damp for the gold leaf to stick to?
No I let it dry first and then glue the gold leaf down.
What do you stick it to or does it stick automatically?@@amandasstudio

Hi
Can I use the modpodge plaster of Paris texture below oil painting instead of acrylic ?
I don't know how well oil paint would work but you could try it out. And yes, plaster of paris should also work. I've only used it a little bit so I don't know if it would crack at all.
Absolutely beautiful 🥰
Thank you! 😊
Beautiful what materials did you use?
Spackle, glue and gold leaf! The color is all acrylic paint.
I loved that one, I have the big tool that does that. I'm going to try it.
Have fun trying it out!
Quick question…do you use any sealant once you’re done?
Yes I just use a spray varnish to finish it off.
Can you please share the name of that white tool u used to create the design?Cant find the link for it in the description
They are cake icing decorating tools!
What do you use to protect the whole painting and the gold? Any suggestion on finishing?
I just used a spray varnish to protect the piece.
Good idea 😊i like it
Thank you so much 😊

What is in the little squirty bottle at the beginning? Glue? Do you let it dry before painting? Thanks very much
Yes it is glue and I let it dry before adding the leaf. It dries tacky.
Let dry before adding the gold leaf?
@@amandasstudio beautiful work.. this question was also on my mind. After structuring the paste, do we need to squirt glue before applying color? What kind of glue? Thank you
Спасибо вам за такую красоту.

Either work; this one is on canvas but I have also worked on wood. I think it is just personal preference.
Hi. Can you please tell what's the white paste you use to make the texture?
Spackle!
Can I use oil paint instead of acrylic after apply spackle ?
I don't know, I do not use oil paints so I don't know if that would work well.
Can we also use gold spray?
Yes I have also used gold oil paint instead of the gold leaf.
Gold leaf looks natural
How long does it take the spackle in description to dry please? Thank you.
I let it dry for a day.
How did you stick the gold sheet on your canvas ?
Glue.

That was glue for the gold leaf.

Yes, I use this glue for the leaf: amzn.to/3lr1G9y
Could you plz tell me the exact steps..cause I am interested to make one.How long you want after each step ?
Put the spackle down, crate the arches or shape on the canvas with tools and let it dry. I let mine dry for a day. Add the glue for the gold leaf and then finished it with acrylic paints.

Hy.... After its finish do you add anything to avoid dust to your art work ??? If yes what do you use
Tqvm
You can add varnish. You can also use canned air to remove and hair or dust if anything settles on the painting.
After applying glue wts dat second layer? Is it grey paint?
I added gold leaf after the glue. I used light green and beige for the colors.
That's very beautiful my friend you are a real artist!

Beautiful piece. Do you prime your canvas? Also, how do you seal/ protect the art at the end?
Thank you! All of the canvases I buy are pre-primed. I finish these with a spray varnish.
