No caso a comparação não está correta pois "estive" só se usa para a primeira pessoa, no caso se vc esta falando de "ele", ou "o frentista", etc, vc deveria colocar as opções em "esteve" e "estava"... ou só falar da primeira pessoa "eu". Dessa forma voce está confundindo ainda mais os gringos
