Incorrect, Derren used the 'rapid induction' hypnosis technique on Simon at the 1:28 mark and dropped parts of "BMX bike" into the conversation, starting almost immediately with his comment "Let me explain to you how I buy gifts ..." (he actually says bike gifts). He also drops in "BM" and "X" in other contexts. As well as that, the room is filled with visual cues for a bike shape - circular objects, rotating reels, round tables etc. Plus all colours except red have been removed from the room.
All brilliant techniques performed to perfection. Derren is a master but fortunately very honest.
