Personally, I think rain adds a nice relaxing sound that fits the place (plus in the Fushimi Inari Shrine, it kinda makes me think of a Fox’s Wedding haha xD)

according to wiki roughly 1000 torii
The highlight of the shrine is the rows of torii gates, known as Senbon Torii. The custom to donate a torii began spreading from the Edo period (1603 - 1868) to have a wish come true or in gratitude for a wish that came true. Along the main path there are around 1,000 torii gates.

I LOVED this video. It made my whole week. Can someone tell me about all those colorful things hanging under the wooden ema on the long wall at the very opening view of the video? I think I know what all the other items are about, but would like to learn what those are. Thank you so much. I've recently been falling in love with Japan, and your videos have certainly contributed.

Hey Laura, so glad to hear that you liked the video!!! I actually didnt know what they were until i looked it up, but apparently they are for prayer, and are colorful folded cranes (at least traditionally), for which a prayer is said while folding each one

Awesome video of Fushimi Inari Shrine. Too bad it rained but maybe the rainy weather was why it was empty. Which led to a nice walk up/down without the crowds. Listening to the raindrops...so relaxing. Looking forward to more videos. Fukuoka (hint-hint)! LOL.
My last visit people were elbowing one another and some tourists were being rude on holding up the crowd so they can take insta pics.

Thanks @airbnb77! Yes I’ve been here when it was crowded as well, and it was quite the unpleasant experience! But am so thankful to have gotten the opportunity to see it this empty!
I’m seriously considering Fukuoka now haha

Your channel uploaded a lot of videos walking in cities. Would you do more walking in non-city places, such as this one?
I think most of us stay in cities, so we would be more enjoyable watching temples, shrine, wood, forest, country side, etc

Hi VJ, thanks for the walk through the rain. ☔️
Nice opportunity to have the torii almost to oneself
in such weather and situation with fewer people around. 🤗
    Stay healthy. 😷
