How is Trump an “underdog”. He’s a billionaire celebrity who owns a gold-plated skyscraper with his name on the side of it in lower Manhattan. He’s a villain from a Saturday morning cartoon!
I feel like their internalized homophobia/transphobia makes them love being seen as an exception or “one of the good ones”, without the understanding that they won’t be the exception when they try to take our rights away.

"I like Trump cause he's from New York, and I'm from New York..." You just gonna gloss over the fact Trump has said he hate New York and Manhattan more than just a couple of times? lol
It's important to note, Trump's policies have been Republican policies for the past several decades. Reagan and Bush paved the way for him, and everything he's done had precedent in previous administrations. Marginalized communities have been warning about this all along, but were rarely listened to. The difference now is that more people are taking notice because of how emboldened he and his supporters have become.
I think its the internalized hatred for themselves and lack of support, and the fear of where the LGBT will end up so they feel the need to go to the other side.
There's also their incredible privilege. They think their wealth will protect them, which means they support the party that promises to protect their wealth.
I talked to a Trump supporter about him saying he wants to ban hormone therapy, and they said he wasn't trying to do that. And I was like, "But I saw the video..." to which they said something about him being taken out of context. The video is over a minute long and doesn't cut. 😭 I'm neither Republican nor Democrat, but I would like to be able to exist (not trans, but I keep hearing about people wanting to make death the punishment for simply being any part of the LGBTQ community and am terrified). Seeing the government being this much of a dumpster fire reminds me why I chose to distance myself from politics in the first place. I already have enough on my plate with insurance not covering medication that keeps me alive.
The "I don't get it" sentiment is so relatable. I think maybe it's a safety thing? Like, in certain circles it was acceptable to be queer if they at least went along with the rest of their family's policy or something like that? And that positive reinforcement feeds into the 'pick me' idea of "as long as I stay an avid supporter" they won't turn on me. I seriously don't get it either, it's incredibly odd.
It’s like watching a bunch of coyotes excitedly licking their lips and creepily telling you that you, a sheep, would be better off if there wasn’t a fence separating you from them. I’ll never fathom why people would ever, EVER fall for something as obvious as this; ESPECIALLY with our modern day knowledge and access to history.
Matt Bernstein and Contrapoints had a great discussion about this topic. Contrapoints in particular has discussed at length the conflict between liberation theories and assimilation theories, and how adherents of the latter are often very desperate for acceptance, but are routinely victimized and brutalized by the people they revere and seek approval from
🧐 Matt Bernstein & Contrapoints are 2 WHITE MEN. You really thought you did something, writing a whole paragraph promoting their “theories” on “liberation” and “victimization” 😂😹 🤣
My mental health has suffered worse than its ever been during his first time in office, and it's still suffering currently since he's running again for office. That's not me being a liberal snowflake that they like to call people, I've known real hardship throughout my life, but I just can't take him being president again. If he wins, and Project 2025 takes effect, then being alive will be a joke.😢
I'm sorry you feel that way, but you shouldn't let external processes influence who you are. If you have a mental issue, it's a life problem. If you decide to allow it to take control of your life, it's a you problem.
With Ariana, it kinda makes sense. She's long been a pick-me and when she began to develop anti-trans positions, siding with the ultra-right gave her a sense of permission to spout the crap she's been spouting. I tell people like that, "just because they seem to like you doesn't mean they won't load you onto the train. You'll just be on the next train after mine."
If they did this in 2016 it would still be understandable because he hadn't been in office yet, but he literally spent 4 years tearing down LGBTA rights so how can you still support him after already knowing the things he will do?
8:13 I am also a New Yorker. And wouldn't say people described me as arrogant or bigoted so I have no idea. That's not a "New York Personality", I assure you. It's kinda upsetting that being even just in the same state as him gets me lumped in with him now. Wtf.
I had coffee with a transgender friend several weeks ago and she is a Trump supporter. I tried to explain to her his position and she didn't get it. I was shocked.
Following this idea of life imitating art.. you know how there was the newer Planet of the Apes trilogy in the 2010s, where a virus wiped out almost all humans while making apes as smart as humans, then the last of the humans were trying to fight the apes who were led by an ape who grew up in captivity and started freeing other apes from zoos and labs. Tiny spoiler for the start of the 3rd movie.. there were apes fighting on the side of humans against other apes, believing that they will be spared when humans inevitably destroy all all of them. I know that plot is a sci-fi exaggeration, still queer people, people of color, and even white migrants standing for conservatives feels awfully familiar.
So that one lady's top reason for voting for him is... because she went to a Janet Jackson concert when she was 8. Um, OK. I'm personally more interested in healthcare, education, and affordable groceries, so I prefer Kamala. But sure, he owns a concert venue, so that's a totally sane and rational reason to put him in charge of the country again. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
I think when Arielle was saying is it "cool to support Trump now?" she was talking about the trends and statistics. She's saying she's seeing more queer trump supporters now. Whats "cool" has nothing to do with ethics unfortunately, thats what she meant. So yeah in certain circles it wad cool to support Trump
*I have a relative who is in an interracial, interfaith, same-sex marriage, is a raging transphobe (as is her wife) and they worship the Moldy Orange! It makes no sense at all! *Honey, you are NOT being dramatic! *Please don't feel you have to do this kind of video. Your mental health is more important than getting clicks! *Fun fact: as a convicted felon, he isn't even eligible to vote! *Unrelated, but we need more cat content!
That fun fact depends on the State. Trump is registered to vote in Florida, so Floridas standards apply. And for Florida the Standard for out of state convictions is to use the Standard of whichever State the person was convicted in, so NY, and that Standard is that a Person is only inelligble to vote if they're currently incarcerated. Due to the fact that Trump, as of writing this, isn't sitting in a cell means he is elligble to vote. Of course would Trump be incarcerated on election day in NY he wouldn't be elligble to vote and as such not be allowed in Florida either.
@@reggielacey2235 If Arielle Scarcella supports the person who wants to impose an Project 2025, that's a great example, because she thinks she'll be the exception, when she's absolutely won't be. By the way, did you know that your big man is mentioned about 312 times in that document? He also endorsed it on video at the Heritage Foundation.
Something else to note in regards to one of the things that last girl said: “Oh, if you went to your job and were told everyday how much you sucked, you’d wanna quit, right? I know I would. But he persisted, and that proves how tough he is.” Couple things to note here. The first is that, if your work environment really is that hostile to the point where they’re telling you you’re not doing a good job when you know you’re excelling, it doesn’t matter how “tough” you are, you need to get outta there as soon as possible because, more than likely, that place ain’t ever even gonna think about benefitting you and would only cause problems the longer you stayed. But that brings me to the second point, which is Occam’s Razor: if people are constantly telling you that you suck at your job, it’s probably because……you suck at your job. And if you’re sucking as consistently as that, at most places, you wouldn’t quit, you’d be fired. But because of a combination of nepotism, luck, and how corrupt Trump is as well as the people he deliberately chooses to surround himself with are, not to mention all the tax fraud he committed along that way, he essentially cheated his way to the top. So yeah, let that sink in for a sec.
This was a fantastic video, we need channels who don't normally cover politics to slam shame and suppress conservative talking points. Thank you for your service to the cause!
One of my best friends growing up is now a gay trump supporter. It blows my mind that he thinks project 2025 is going to be a better outcome than Kamala being president. He’s always been republican leaning which I have always respected of course, but supporting project 2025 is a really hard thing to look past as a friend. I will always love him but is he doesn’t get his head out of trumps behind soon he’s going to get stuck there. Anyhow I’m moving to Canada if he wins.
Arguing with these types of people only seems to radicalize them further, so I'd say that the best way to get them to change their tune is to basically quote the things that Trump says that counteracts their notions about him, and the more they say "well that's out of context" or "well he's just joking" show the context, show the increasingly unhinged stuff he says. The MAGA crowd has been shown to have... very _inconsistent_ recollections of his speeches. There are compilations of Trump talking about Hannibal Lecter or his daughter Ivanka (inappropriately) among other things. The more people hear about Trump's actual views and the more people hear about Project 2025 and Agenda 47, the less people will support Trump. And don't forget to vote 💙, Americans! -A very concerned Canadian 🍁

At least not every cis queer person is like that. Though it's still harmful for those groups to exist (and I agree that it hurts, it's such a massive slap in the face), we still have people on our side who realize that every queer individual is better off fighting together... let the others get their faces eaten by the leopards enough, and some will come to their senses even if for selfish reasons.

Look up Jenna Talackova, She was a trans beauty pageant contestant and Trump fought for her to have the right to enter a women's beauty contest. Everything is not black and white
I'm about to out myself on this video by admitting a few things, but also dropping the opportunity in your lap to speak to someone who is willing to take the time to explain to you what you want to know: 1. I am said Trump voter (distinction should be made between supporter and voter). 2. I am said person of color with strong ties to my native culture. 3. I live in a blue state in a very progressive demographic where the majority will likely vote for Kamala Harris (if you have your US maps open, you can seriously narrow down where I live). 4. I am cis, and unfortunately my experience cannot relate to the struggles of the LGBTQ+ community so I cannot speak on this too well, but I have knowledge and experience passed down through others and what I have seen for myself. 5. I was once an atheist, but after 28 years I converted to Christianity. The reasons I am voting for Trump: 1. I've seen a previous video you posted, and you're right. Gender identity is not a core tenet of my personality. In fact, sexuality is a less than secondary issue, and it always has been. The problem with current ideology as we've seen is not necessarily normalization because truthfully, we couldn't care less. What you identify as is what you identify as. However, there's a point where we believe that oversexualization and perversion are normalized and they have no place in our culture. This actually goes hand-in-hand with inherently cis movements as well, such as current sexual liberation movements. We can agree that hardcore pornography is extremely easy to access as it's free and found on probably half the available content uploaded on the Internet, but there's a term for even the kind of provocative content where it doesn't showcase full nudity, but still elicits a sexual response-- soft porn. As a reformed porn addict for over 15 years, I can't tell you how hard it is to break an addiction when literally everything is sexualized (yes, as I sit here now there is an ad on RUclips telling me about meeting up with sexy singles in my area....THAT'S an issue). Should that kind of behavior be normalized and accepted in our society? I really don't think so. And neither do the other voters. We can go layers deeper, but I'll stop there. 2. Something about the division in liberal politics strikes a chord with us. "If you don't vote for me, you're not black." Those are literal words from Joe Biden, recorded and immortalized on the Internet. For every piece of divisive rhetoric spoken from the right, there is an equal amount of evidence revealing the left engages in this just as much, and I'm not leaning anywhere, I'm a moderate-- I've seen both sides. But this goes layers deeper with how people now are actually trying to separate and berate people from different races, religions, and classes. There's a law that I am quite particular about, where it does not allow schools to preach any kind of religion in classrooms which keeps the curriculum strictly to the core subjects that students need. Article 9 of the California Constitution will tell you that. However, there's a double standard here because LGBTQ+ ideology is preached in classrooms. The current argument is things like SOGI education and queer normalization enable children to discover their true identities, but if that's the case, wouldn't it only be fair if they could explore identities through other means (such as religion? because as a Christian that is 100% part of my identity). One identity CANNOT be snubbed because it conflicts with the other. And even as a person of color I'm not a fan of the new wave of anti-white ideology, it's becoming more evident in schools (some of the schools in my friend's district has Caucasians apologizing for their ancestors' crimes every single morning). We're literally treating people like second-class citizens over it! I mean, really, what the heck! And even as a person of color I learned that Trump voters have zero qualms about race, actually it's quite simply patriotism and love of country. I should know well about this too, part of my family is from Texas which is very much pro-Trump (and surprisingly, Black, Asian, Latino, Indian, White, all of it). What is all this "race traitor" stuff anyway? We're literally telling people that we cannot be proud of who they were born as! Sorry, went off a bit there. But I believe we are all equal, so that one absolutely disgusts me. 3. Here's something that I hear quite enough of: Americans want our country to be for Americans, so the government needs to work for us. Border control is an issue of national security which I will remind everyone, we are 4 days from an anniversary of such an event. With a border as mismanaged as the one now, and with taxpayer money going to immigrants that enter illegally rather than confirmed citizens and legal visa holders, we have to wonder what our American citizenship is actually worth. Why would I go through the trouble of being an American if we who pay taxes can't even reap the benefits of being a citizen? If the border is unsecured, are we risking opening up maligned entities who seek to destroy our security from inside? Also if we haven't seen enough of it already, who is actually running the country? President Biden has been on vacation ever since he dropped out of the presidential race and his mental state was swiftly declining. That one's gotta get people to think, "wait a second, who is ACTUALLY running the country?" The problem with putting Harris in office is she doesn't have a single policy she actually stands for. I mean, you could say the same for every politician. But Harris is far worse. Interviews where she is asked questions, she either laughs it off or filibusters until the interviewer feeds her an answer she can agree to. That's not very presidential, and definitely unfit to lead a country. If you are looking to someone for leadership, wouldn't you want clear direction on where to go? With Trump, we do have the impression that he is working for Americans. NATO is the largest treaty in the world, but the US spends a big portion of its near $900 billion annual defense budget on security for that alliance while all other members of the alliance don't even put up their allotted 3% of GDP. Trump went to them and said "no, follow the treaty or we won't either." Is that prejudice, bigotry, or paying dues? There's also a comment I've heard that Biden did more for veterans than Trump did-- actually, my dad (a veteran who earned his citizenship through military service) saw greater benefits from healthcare to base access, and from taxes to discounts during Trump's term. I hate seeing veterans sacrifice their livelihoods for their country and we thank them by dumping them out on the streets, but Trump wasn't letting that slide. Respect the people who make this country possible, that's how I feel. Without them we wouldn't even have the right to burn the American flag which people do for reasons that are just unfathomable to me. 4. Media coverage actually tells me a lot about this. Look at the difference in headlines between traditional news sources, the right AND the left on how they covered the assassination attempt. Many would call it a shooter, an assassin, an attempt on the former President's life. But CNN, MSNBC, USA Today, and other left-aligned publications called it "Trump injured after loud noise" or something to that effect-- excuse me, so it wasn't an assassination? This was extremely clear evidence (aside from the fact that Secret Service should've secured a spot mere yards away from the podium and ignored any attempt to call attention to the shooter) that something is extremely and utterly wrong with how things are being run today, it's almost like they expected (even NEEDED) this to happen. To be honest, I can be vindictive, vengeful, hateful at times, but I would never want to see any harm come to a person in this capacity ESPECIALLY perpetrated by another person. And a life was lost that day by an innocent bystander. But why were so many people who even claimed to not have a single hateful bone in their body openly wishing for Trump's death? Why was not a single person mourning over the death of the person who actually died from a stray bullet? If the depth of love, tolerance, and acceptance is veiled with evil, can we say that any of those things we preach are true? I'll be honest, this one DEEPLY bothers me about the left. I really have no political association, and on a normal day, I will agree with a lot of leftist policy. But I am extremely disturbed by this one, because there is no good explanation for wishing death on another person, raging when it doesn't happen, and justifying that to no end. That one is the most bitter taste I have towards the left's ideology and I am burdened by the people who believe in this, because this is simply how we should not behave. That's my whole hundred dollars, I suppose.
just let it be I mean who cares if they vote for somebody? honestly I don't like Trump or Harris but it's just their choice I would rather have people stand up and have a Peaceable Revolution to me they're not bad people they're just misguided which is totally fine I feel the same way when gay or bi or lesbians vote for Harris because just what Trump and Harris are both fundamentally the same but I'm not going to blame him for voting for someone they believing when it comes time for the people to understand at both parties are evil and we need to have peace and love i well be happy
actually, no, the complete opposite, it's good that we have a specific term for queer people that betray their community and suck up to the right. newspeak, on the other hand, was intended to remove all specific and emotion-indicating words to prevent critical thinking.
Where do are taxes go? Unnecessary military forces, absurd politician salaries, and random lawsuits from idiot governors (though thats on a state by state basis) No free healthcare, No free school lunches, a horribly underfunded education system, very little assistance for the disabled and even veterans. Instead we have politicians who feel like ignoring outdated infrastructure and building a golf course over national parks. Truly we live in one of the countries of all time.

its honestly the greatest of two evils. trump is a terrible man and a 🍇ist. not only that but he wants to take away gay marriage and all HRT. (i know this doesnt effect you) ban all womens reproductive rights, and all "protection". hes not for queer people. hes going to strip all of our protections away from any bills by banning words including "gender, gender equality, gender equity, gender awareness, gender sensitivity, abortion, reproductive health, reproductive rights, and any other term used to deprive americans of their first amendment rights out of every federal rule, agency regulation, contract, grant, regulation, and piece of legislation that exists." this would take away any and all anti discrimination laws. he doesnt like queer people.

We’re living in the wrong timeline. 2016 onwards has felt like a fever dream, I want to wake up from this hellscape.
Same here, friend!
@@FrozEnbyWolf150-b9tYep, I'm betting it on class.
That or they think they’ll be spared if they toss the rest of us to the frenzied wolves. (Leopards ate my face moment.)
Peter Thiel is about the best example of this. Gay, but absurdly rich, believing that will spare him.
Please shut up
I talked to a Trump supporter about him saying he wants to ban hormone therapy, and they said he wasn't trying to do that.
And I was like, "But I saw the video..." to which they said something about him being taken out of context. The video is over a minute long and doesn't cut. 😭
I'm neither Republican nor Democrat, but I would like to be able to exist (not trans, but I keep hearing about people wanting to make death the punishment for simply being any part of the LGBTQ community and am terrified). Seeing the government being this much of a dumpster fire reminds me why I chose to distance myself from politics in the first place. I already have enough on my plate with insurance not covering medication that keeps me alive.
I'm sorry you have to deal with that :( You BETTER live till you're old-
They be like “Maybe if I act conservative too they’ll ignore me?, Trump 2024!🤡” Nahh😂😂🤣

A quote from Trump... TATTOO. Totally not a cult. 😮
Oh 100% not a cult🙃

My mental health has suffered worse than its ever been during his first time in office, and it's still suffering currently since he's running again for office. That's not me being a liberal snowflake that they like to call people, I've known real hardship throughout my life, but I just can't take him being president again. If he wins, and Project 2025 takes effect, then being alive will be a joke.😢
I'm sorry you feel that way, but you shouldn't let external processes influence who you are. If you have a mental issue, it's a life problem. If you decide to allow it to take control of your life, it's a you problem.

Yep. Gay people can be racist too.
Wtf.

Something else to note in regards to one of the things that last girl said:
“Oh, if you went to your job and were told everyday how much you sucked, you’d wanna quit, right? I know I would. But he persisted, and that proves how tough he is.”
Couple things to note here.
They're traitors.
I wouldn't say thaaaat.. they just- fight tooth and nail against everything they stand for and who they are!
Some people are desperate for attention and this is the way they get it they don't love Donald Trump they just want attention so sad
Then move

I'm about to out myself on this video by admitting a few things, but also dropping the opportunity in your lap to speak to someone who is willing to take the time to explain to you what you want to know:
The reasons I am voting for Trump:
Girl you should go back and get videos of how bad discrimination was like I’m sure you’ll get a few of the orange donut

its honestly the greatest of two evils. trump is a terrible man and a 🍇ist. not only that but he wants to take away gay marriage and all HRT.
