Del Amitri is my favorite band of all time. I love Justin's lyrics, they just hit a chord inside me. I have been fortunate enough to have seen them twice in concert. Absolutely amazing performers.
To me this is the most touching song Justin has ever written. And he has written touching songs galore. It’s so full of compassion and comfort, you can hardly stand it. It’s my absolute favorite, thank you very much! I‘d love to hear it in Cologne next week, but if not I wiil certainly hear many other pearls and diamonds. So exited to hear the band after more than 20 years…
@@stephenkemp4778 As far as I know it is not published on any medium but the latest Live-DVD/BR „Every night has a dawn“, where it‘s included in a acoustic set played in some kind of living room. But disappointingly it‘s incomplete, again, because the bridge is missing. In my opinion the lyrics of this bridge are essential, I can’t imaging what‘s the reason behind this decision. I couldn‘t understand the combination with other songs neither… We have to be satisfied with what we have on RUclips. This song is it‘s own mystery🤔
Saw them for the first time in 2022...been one of my favorite bands since the '80's. And lucky me, they are coming to town again this July! 2 times in less than 24 months, I can't wait.

Does anyone have any idea about the tuning he uses? DADGAD works fine except for the bridge... but that is obiously not the tuning he's using in this version. I've been hunting down those few chords for a long time. On their new DVD they convienently avoid the bridge section as they tend to do in the medley with "whisky remorse" and "be my downfall". Apart from that: Most beautiful song evar :-)
