Hi my Friends, I start making a series of Lectures on Goldfish history, terms, standards, and culture. Please comment below on what else that you like to see 😄
it is so refreshing to be presented such a thorough and fascinating history of these fish. their historical and cultural significance are a massive part of my appreciation of them and it adds even more depth to the already engrossing joy of keeping them. during my research online while getting into the hobby, I was very surprised to the relatively low interest in fancy goldfishes cultural history. im probably mistaken about that, but your videos are exactly what Ive been looking for. your work is greatly appreciated :)
I truly hope you continue this into a series on the common and rare breed histories and their development. Your approach, your delivery I can't tell you how long I have wished for this type of information. Thank you again!
Appreciated your feedback and encouragement! Which breed history do you like to hear? Yes, I am making it. As I promised in the video, my next one will talk about how tell different type of Ranchu (Japanese, Chinese, and Thai). After that, I will continue this series on egg-fish, Pearlscale, etc.
@@GoldfishCorner I am especially fascinated by the telescopic eye mutations and also some of the rarer breeds also find the Chinese and Japanese rules on beauty and proportion and how they have been adapted and applied to similar and some times divergent characteristics in the fish
Loved the video Lei. Great job. This is exactly why I love goldfish. They are living art and their history is so fascinating to me. Please do more. Perhaps one on egg fish next.
This is an amazing video man, really appreciated how professional it is. From sourcing to video quality it is just a work of art in itself. Looking forward to seeing your other videos
Hi Professor Lei, your stories and explanations about goldfish and their origin are wonderful. These reports accompanied with old photos, new photos and technical explanations are extraordinary. My compliments .... I did not know that the origin of the Ranchu was so distant in time. Great lesson! Best greetings Marco
Marco, my dear friend, Thank you, Thank you. Did you see Your name/logo on Acknowledgment section at the end of this video? As always, appreciated all your encouragement!!!
@@GoldfishCorner Lei Thank you very much, yes, I saw my logo and name in the special final thanks! Thank you very much my friend, as soon as I can I share this video of yours and I work with my Italian RUclips community and I send you my friends to subscribe to your channel.
Marco Isidori, Marco, you are so kind and don’t have to do this. I did not mean to do this for gaining more subs. I just really really appreciated your positive encouragement to my videos!!
@@GoldfishCorner Lei ,It is a pleasure for me to be able to help you and make your work and channel known ... your professionalism and passion is not common..you are really good. I really appreciated your work and mention in your video in the end, for me it's a real honor.
another awesome video. I learnd about seasonal winds direction to china from japan. it is not just about ranchus. thank you so much this detailed aweosme video..
Thank you Richard and feel free to share with your friends. Japanese Ranchu have rich history and culture backgrounds. I just scratched the surface. One of my YT friends even requested a topic about Samurai and Ranchu. For instance EdoNishiki was created by a low-status samurai. 👍
Nice.. btw , people who watching this or other video in this channel , hit the thumb up button and comment down any question, appreciate his job to giving some explanation and history , I know he haven't explain all about the ranchu , but I think if we show some appreciation , i think he will shot more video telling about ranchu .. anyway, sorry for my english , I'm an asian and I tried my best to learn english .. as long as I understand and speak basic english haha that all thank you . 😂😂
Hi *Aidan* , Thank you for your understanding and appreciation of my work. Initially, I got annoyed when people hit the dislike icon (thumb-down). But I am fine now. Many reasons for clicking the dislike icon, some audiences naturally have higher expectations; some people may accidentally click the wrong icon. No problem with that. What really matters to me is to read the comments. I read all comments and reply to every single one. Not just to build connections with my fans but also to encourage each of us to continue goldfish keeping. Your English is great, I have no problem understanding your point. The main reason that I did not update my channel, just because my life is busy, and got some other things to do... like my job in engineering and data science and also try to build my own startup. Thanks again. Keep in touch!
@@GoldfishCorner yeahh about the dislike icon just make it a normal thing , with our science knowladge we know out there are many kind of people not all people good and also not all of them are bad .. so just let it be .. stay healthy there and we always here wait for your new content about goldfish .. 🥳🥳🎉🎉

Rita 64 Thank you for your support. Yes, I just hit your bell 🔔 (sub 799). I decided not to do sub-for-sub any more. However, Marco is a good of mine. Any of his friends are my friends, too. 👍
I have been wanting a maruko forever. I have a group of what I call my "long body fancies" like wakin and jikin, plus some hibuna and comets. I thought maruko was extinct and replaced with shukin. Thank you for your videos, I always learn so much. I hope one day you can show the difference between sabao and tamasaba. Wikipedia says they are the same breed.

I don’t see Indonesian Ranchu has unique attributes (either in body shape or color) apart from Chinese, Japanese or Thai. I would not put it as a separate breed yet

I am really curious how long a ranchu can live up to.
Depends on your keeping still. For advanced keepers, they can make Ranchu typically 3-5yr
