The bit where Boemgyu and Taehyun were fighting reminded me of your Eternally video when you were speculating about why they were fighting over the book. Maybe they were fighting because Taehyun wanted to use a spell from the book, but Boemgyu was against it. The spell itself could be dangerous or Taehyun might suffer severely from the casualty if he uses it. There could be the possibility of him being corrupted by the book but I don't have proof to back that up. Boemgyu most likely took the book as a way to protect Taehyun. That's probably what the fight in this trailer was about but that's mostly me speculating. They could be fighting about a lot of things considering what's going on in the story so far. The scene where they’re all on the bed reminded me of cysm too, especially when the house started tipping and the camera focused on the glass with water in it, reminded me of the scene in cysm when Soobin is “controlling” beomgyu by pushing over the glass of water
That house reminded me of film out the moment I saw it . The biggest reason I feel so connected to txt is because of their concept . As some one who is gonna turn 20 next year ... I have never wanted to grow up ... I wanted to be a kid for ever . None of my friends can relate to me on this topic . But then txt debuted . Finally I could connect with someone. I am so excited for this .
I actually noticed in the scene where they are summoning the magic the only person they dont show is kai, also at the scene where beomgyu and Taehyun are fighting it kind of looks like beomgyu is trying to replace kai because in the scene it goes from yeonjun to kai, and then kai to soobin and then kai to Beomgyu and then all of a sudden kai is gone and replaced by Beomgyu and fighting taehyun and then all of a sudden hes alone and only with his reflection who is no longer reacting and then its also suspicious when kai turns around before he jumps
This video seems to basically show TXTs whole journey up until now using the portal to magic island as a metaphor (and literally too). It’s roughly broken up into 3 parts: the entrance of the portal (dream chapter), the inside (chaos chapter) and the threshold at the other end (name chapter). The blue hour at the start of the vid shows us them literally making the contract with the cat so that they receive magic and can enter the portal that will hopefully lead them to magic island. Next everything is dark as we journey through the portal. They can now use magic but they also battle with their shadows who are masked (metaphorical for their, as of yet, concealed true names). But by the end of the portal the masks have been removed and they seem to tolerate each other but not fully accept that part of them. And then finally we get the floating house scene. They are on a literal tipping point. They can see the light, yet if they make a wrong step they’ll suffer the consequences. It’s super important to note here that they do decide to take the leap of faith in the end BUT they still have their shadows as we see Kai’s right before he jumps. Clearly they’ve still got unfinished business before they can successfully cross over to magic island.

This concept trailer was honestly so wondeful, I had the same reaction to them ending it there 😭for ages I have been an avid supporter in the clone/mirror/shodow versions of the members having swapped places with their original(?) selves and it's just nice to finally see it literally in black and white
The window might be representative of the window Peter Pan used to come and sit to talk to Wendy at the Darling's house. And the bed is the same bed Peter Pan and the lost boys made for Wendy and the lost boys to live in. But in the actual version of Peter Pan, he k!lls the lost boys to stop them from growing up and to accommodate more of them. The house is about to be destroyed when Wendy jumps, followed by the lost boys, which in this case might be TXT :)

Edit: also like someone above me mentioned this too but this concept trailer definitely remind me of cysm since: 1) the glass tipping scene along with the bedroom setup was also present in the cysm music video 2) their hair colours are quite similar to eternity era (taehyun + red but lighter, soobin + pastel colour, only exception is yeonjun) 3) the themes are slightly similar since cysm was about a crumbling friendship and here we see them fighting in the mirror scene + like you mentioned taehyun and beomgyu also fight here... 4) their pose in the house scene kinda looks like the opening pose in the cysm choreo or maybe im reaching too much haha

Another thing I thought was interesting was that during the little mirror part of the video, Kai's reflection also suddenly had the white feathers instead of the black ones before it transitioned into him and Soobin, which really reminded me of the Frost MV with his vision. (I'm also LOSING my mind over that creepy face with the purple and orange eyes 😭🥲)
Love all the theories. There were a few things I was wondering about: why Kai isn't one playing with the magic light and why they didn't show the other members leaving the house - just Kai?
I just really wanted to point out that Seventeen in their Darl+ing MV very recently used the concept of Peter Pan too. Except TXT have shadows they are trying to resolve so they can get to magic island whereas seventeen start without shadows and fall through a portal leading them to a world with shadows. Coincidence? I think not. 👀
at the end, I was staring at the black screen and then an ad came up and I was like "what! what the hell! this video did not just ended, right???" hahahaa

what i find really interesting is at 3:51 how they are at different levels, like how it seems like soobin is reaching towards the cat beomgyu is leaning away as much as possible and also how soobin and taehyun, who i remember being the liars back in cysm era, are the ones who are leaning towards the inverted cat
i was also going to comment another theory when this video first came out but i wasn't sure about it but i just had a lesson in which my theory kinda came up so i have more ideas about it now, i think kai's true name might have something to do with greek mythology. the one who built the labyrinth makes me think of theseus' minotaur labour, which then led me to the one who built the minotaur's labyrinth who is a guy called daedalus. now i originally discounted this idea because it felt random and txt don't go too deep into greek mythology but like in my classics lesson just now we were discussing the minotaur and we eventually got onto how the labyrinth's creator, daedalus, is icarus' father which then immediately made me think of kai's fake angel wings. anyways this was a bit of a ramble but oh well

12:45 when you started talking about faith and whether they were able to fly or not, it reminded me of the gbgb jp video you put up where you showed the diagram of the hero's journey. I think this concept and set of albums will play into the whole betrayal for the first part. Moa told them to have faith in her as she told them to meet with her at their spot after she broke up with them, except for taehyun but he finds out the truth anyway. Yeonjun's wings broke and that's the betrayal. He trusted her and ended up falling, bringing the others down with him. "What started with me, must end with me"
i feel like the reason for the inverted video was because the the story was told backwards, as in we start the video at the end on the ground after they all jumped.

it makes me wonder what on earth is happening between Taehyun and Beomgyu since in this video at 10:43 Taehyun seemed to grab Beomgyu to keep him from falling while Beomgyu kinda looked at him before he even did like he was expecting it-? It seem like many people did Beomgyu is suffocating Taehyun in cysm mv but my theory is that he was protecting Taehyun from something only he could see. Like after covering Taehyun under the blankets, the lights turned red which signifies ‘danger’ and Beomgyu looked like he was staring at something behind the camera/ is the camera ( the camera shot it like someone looking into the room outside the window of the house, cld be someone else pov, so Beomgyu cld be staring at that person) and Beomgyu’s face didn’t look like ‘haha I killed my friend’ or smthing, he looked more like alarmed or alert. Also, in another scene in cysm where everyone was watching tv, he looked at the camera again with the same alarmed(?) expression as the lights went red (danger) again. I actually thought about the 0x1=lovesong Japanese MV? They were falling out of the sky and kinda gives the impression that maybe this is the moment five minutes before the disaster 👀 like. The theme of TXT flying and failing it's a constant (L=L, Free Falling, GBGB, etc) and is giving the inevitability of gravity as a metaphor of the coming of age storytelling they have since the start of their story. Eventually they're going to hit the ground in one way or another. Probably they already did, like that empty and disturbing uniform/clothes at the end of 0x1 Jap MV 💀 their bad end route. Also it seems the Name Chapter is going to give us more of the TXT on TXT crimes lol they are fighting their shadows (fears? Their chronic escapade of reality? Is this Jung Map of the soul again?) and their journey finding their name as a mirror of their identity. Like that whole fourth section is clearly a throwback to the Maze in Eternally and Frost, with both Kai and Beomgyu being presented as the "conscious" ones through the journey: Beomgyu is also presented as the gaze to the spectator almost every section of the trailer (the last moment in the light magic thingy and then himself with his own reflection, and then he wakes up into the house going down) and Kai is the one who looks and fights his own reflection first, and then he jumps after he looks to the spectator like Beomgyu did. Idk. It just seems relevant their parallels in comparative with Yeonjun who is the one being caught by the cat (lured by temptation?) and Soobin and Taehyun being dragged by the narrative except when they're on their txt on txt crimes agenda. I think Beomgyu is the one closer to accepting reality or seeing the danger even if he indulges into it, and Kai it's kinda ambiguous and I don't even know whats happening. Hello! i loved this concept trailer so much, and your explanation for it is really good!! Also, I've been putting together the lore myself recently, (with the help of your videos and other peoples speculations). but back in eternity when Beomgyu was fighting for the book in room 17, did you ever find out who he was fighting. It is the one thing I feel stuck on. I saw the music making film and it was just 2 random guys, but i feel like it still has to be someone from their group and they just didn't want to spoil it.
The portal that gets opened through the window seems to be the same one shown in the trailer for The Star Seekers Webtoon. I don’t have more to say about this as I’ve forgotten everything that was talked about and speculated when that trailer came out, but I just wanted to mention it for anyone who’s in a better position to theorize.

I had so many theories that I was going to write when this video comes out but now I have just forgotten the theories. But I still wonder if the cat is good or bad like sometimes it seems that the cat is good and sometimes it seems like it is bad. The part where the cat controls them is makes sense since they made a contract with it but it seems like in the webtoon they are kind of being controlled by everyone. Like the Dragon Sec. And the flying reminds me of Avys during the fight in the webtoon, the bird helps him fly and then he gets wing but then again it was just Avys. P.s my theories is just me forcing my brain to make theories im not really thinking deep about this, imma save this brain power for my exams. I think its safe to say, Dark Moon is much easier to make theories out of then Star Seekers, cause we basicall have no answers in this story.
The cat feels more “selfish” than specifically good or bad. It seems to have a goal that lays outside of the story itself but needs to use the boys somehow to obtain that goal. I feel like I’ve been struggling with TSS theories recently because there’s a pretty big disconnect between what they’ve been showing us in MVs and what the webtoon is telling us. But that’s why I’ve rly gotta read the webnovel (it’s just so painful to read lol 😭)

Hey...it's late to comment but I saw something in the video... in minute 5:16 in the MV beomgyu slides off the bed more and you can see Taehyun's hand on Beomgyu's thigh. He tries to protect and hold Beomgyu so he doesn't fall. This is such an interesting scene. Has anyone else seen it??😳

I just noticed while watching this with you, in the Peter Pan part the boys don’t “fly” until the cat(?) pours that red stuff onto them, just like in the book where the children can’t fly until Tinkerbell sprinkles them with fairy dust. Also when they’re playing with the stars and that part is about to end, they’re all looking around in awe like everything’s magic but Beomgyu has broken away from it again and closes his eyes all sad. I really want to know why Kai and Beomgyu’s reflection’s feathers were suddenly white. Did they overcome their “shadow selves”? And Beomgyu’s reflection didn’t copy him but Kai’s does… What does it all mean?! Since I started watching your videos I have been noticing these things a lot more 😊 but I wish I could keep the timelines and all the details straight in my head like you! I think they fall out after a while!

I am soooo excited for this chapter to come out! Another thing I thought was interesting was that during the little mirror part of the video, Kai's reflection also suddenly had the white feathers instead of the black ones before it transitioned into him and Soobin, which really reminded me of the Frost MV with his vision.

I just really wanted to point out that Seventeen in their Darl+ing MV very recently used the concept of Peter Pan too. Except TXT have shadows they are trying to resolve so they can get to magic island whereas seventeen start without shadows and fall through a portal leading them to a world with shadows. Coincidence? I think not. 👀

what i find really interesting is at 3:51 how they are at different levels, like how it seems like soobin is reaching towards the cat beomgyu is leaning away as much as possible and also how soobin and taehyun, who i remember being the liars back in cysm era, are the ones who are leaning towards the inverted cat
i was also going to comment another theory when this video first came out but i wasn't sure about it but i just had a lesson in which my theory kinda came up so i have more ideas about it now, i think kai's true name might have something to do with greek mythology. the one who built the labyrinth makes me think of theseus' minotaur labour, which then led me to the one who built the minotaur's labyrinth who is a guy called daedalus. now i originally discounted this idea because it felt random and txt don't go too deep into greek mythology but like in my classics lesson just now we were discussing the minotaur and we eventually got onto how the labyrinth's creator, daedalus, is icarus' father which then immediately made me think of kai's fake angel wings. anyways this was a bit of a ramble but oh well
FINALLY got to watch this and it's actually perfect since more is coming out soon.

I think this concept and set of albums will play into the whole betrayal for the first part. Moa told them to have faith in her as she told them to meet with her at their spot after she broke up with them, except for taehyun but he finds out the truth anyway. Yeonjun's wings broke and that's the betrayal. He trusted her and ended up falling, bringing the others down with him. "What started with me, must end with me"

it makes me wonder what on earth is happening between Taehyun and Beomgyu since in this video at 10:43 Taehyun seemed to grab Beomgyu to keep him from falling while Beomgyu kinda looked at him before he even did like he was expecting it-? It seem like many people did Beomgyu is suffocating Taehyun in cysm mv but my theory is that he was protecting Taehyun from something only he could see. Like after covering Taehyun under the blankets, the lights turned red which signifies ‘danger’ and Beomgyu looked like he was staring at something behind the camera/ is the camera ( the camera shot it like someone looking into the room outside the window of the house, cld be someone else pov, so Beomgyu cld be staring at that person) and Beomgyu’s face didn’t look like ‘haha I killed my friend’ or smthing, he looked more like alarmed or alert. Also, in another scene in cysm where everyone was watching tv, he looked at the camera again with the same alarmed(?) expression as the lights went red (danger) again. Lol sry js wanna share my theory, thx for reading

I actually thought about the 0x1=lovesong Japanese MV? They were falling out of the sky and kinda gives the impression that maybe this is the moment five minutes before the disaster 👀 like. The theme of TXT flying and failing it's a constant (L=L, Free Falling, GBGB, etc) and is giving the inevitability of gravity as a metaphor of the coming of age storytelling they have since the start of their story. Eventually they're going to hit the ground in one way or another. Probably they already did, like that empty and disturbing uniform/clothes at the end of 0x1 Jap MV 💀 their bad end route.
Also it seems the Name Chapter is going to give us more of the TXT on TXT crimes lol they are fighting their shadows (fears? Their chronic escapade of reality? Is this Jung Map of the soul again?) and their journey finding their name as a mirror of their identity. Like that whole fourth section is clearly a throwback to the Maze in Eternally and Frost, with both Kai and Beomgyu being presented as the "conscious" ones through the journey: Beomgyu is also presented as the gaze to the spectator almost every section of the trailer (the last moment in the light magic thingy and then himself with his own reflection, and then he wakes up into the house going down) and Kai is the one who looks and fights his own reflection first, and then he jumps after he looks to the spectator like Beomgyu did. Idk. It just seems relevant their parallels in comparative with Yeonjun who is the one being caught by the cat (lured by temptation?) and Soobin and Taehyun being dragged by the narrative except when they're on their txt on txt crimes agenda.
I think Beomgyu is the one closer to accepting reality or seeing the danger even if he indulges into it, and Kai it's kinda ambiguous and I don't even know whats happening. ANYWAY thank you so much for reacting to their concept trailer. It's always a joy listening to your theories and thoughts!
Hello! i loved this concept trailer so much, and your explanation for it is really good!! Also, I've been putting together the lore myself recently, (with the help of your videos and other peoples speculations). but back in eternity when Beomgyu was fighting for the book in room 17, did you ever find out who he was fighting. It is the one thing I feel stuck on. I saw the music making film and it was just 2 random guys, but i feel like it still has to be someone from their group and they just didn't want to spoil it.

I had so many theories that I was going to write when this video comes out but now I have just forgotten the theories.
But I still wonder if the cat is good or bad like sometimes it seems that the cat is good and sometimes it seems like it is bad.
The part where the cat controls them is makes sense since they made a contract with it but it seems like in the webtoon they are kind of being controlled by everyone. Like the Dragon Sec.
And the flying reminds me of Avys during the fight in the webtoon, the bird helps him fly and then he gets wing but then again it was just Avys.
P.s my theories is just me forcing my brain to make theories im not really thinking deep about this, imma save this brain power for my exams.
I think its safe to say, Dark Moon is much easier to make theories out of then Star Seekers, cause we basicall have no answers in this story.
The cat feels more “selfish” than specifically good or bad. It seems to have a goal that lays outside of the story itself but needs to use the boys somehow to obtain that goal.
I feel like I’ve been struggling with TSS theories recently because there’s a pretty big disconnect between what they’ve been showing us in MVs and what the webtoon is telling us. But that’s why I’ve rly gotta read the webnovel (it’s just so painful to read lol 😭)

I just noticed while watching this with you, in the Peter Pan part the boys don’t “fly” until the cat(?) pours that red stuff onto them, just like in the book where the children can’t fly until Tinkerbell sprinkles them with fairy dust. Also when they’re playing with the stars and that part is about to end, they’re all looking around in awe like everything’s magic but Beomgyu has broken away from it again and closes his eyes all sad.
I really want to know why Kai and Beomgyu’s reflection’s feathers were suddenly white. Did they overcome their “shadow selves”? And Beomgyu’s reflection didn’t copy him but Kai’s does… What does it all mean?!
