Paris, Texas directed by Wim Wenders
Music: Take Me Somewhere Nice by Mogwai
Lyrics:
Ghosts in the photograph
Never lie'd to me
I'd be all of that
I'd be all of that
A false memory
Would be everything
A denial my eliminent
What was that for?
What was that for?
What would you do
If you saw spaceships
Over glasgow?
Would you fear them?
Every aircraft
Every camera
Is a wish that
Wasn't granted
What was that for?
What was that for?
Try to be bad
Try to be bad

"I... I used to make long speeches to you after you left.
I used to talk to you all the time, even though I was alone.
I walked around for months talking to you.
Now I don't know what to say; it was easier when I just imagined you.
It was almost like you were there: i could hear you, i could see you, smell you.
I could hear your voice.
Then... it slowly faded, i couldn't picture you anymore.
I tried to talk out loud to you like I used to, but there was nothing there.
I couldn't hear you.
Then... I just gave it up.
Everything stopped.
You just... disappeared.
And now I'm working here, i hear your voice all the time.
Every man has your voice".
This is from Paris Texas, right?
@@BrytonBand yes! You can find all the info in description
Great lines with deep emotions one can really connect with. Perhaps one of the greatest scenes in cinema. My one of the favorites of all time ....
@@anuragate9282 Always been in my top 5 movies of all time! Direction, cinematography, acting & music score.........sheer perfection! That scene, where Travis is trying to explain why he had to leave....And Jane's slow realisation that it IS actually Travis, is probably one of the best scene's in modern film........His 'confession' to her...............utterly heartbreaking!!
Paris, Texas is one of the most beautiful films I've ever seen and this video really gets you in the mood of the film, gorgeous.
Thank You! ❤
I thought it was boring as fuck
I love this song. I didn't know the film used here and I saw it. It was a wonderful discovery. Thanks for that
Saw it late night sat up on my own on a channel 4 (UK TV channel) not long after it came out....................I was in tears at Natasha Kinski's finally slowly realising it is actually Travis........STILL has the power to do that even today.....Mesmerizing, beautifully shot & framed, melancholic & brilliantly acted..........The score by Ry Cooder is absolutely perfect for this film, still one of my top 5 films ever!!
Just a perfect blend of music and visuals. It's like these two pieces of art were meant for each other. Makes me so melancholy, but in a good way.
thank you for your beautiful words! I'm glad you liked this so much ❤
@@Clarencito Thank you for your amazing videos. Keep 'em coming 😁
you guys nailed it by using the movie paris texas as the visual theme for this song.

thank you for your beautiful edits..
thank you for watching!
I miss the parts of me that are you. And I wish you missed the parts of you that are me. But I'm afraid I'm no longer part of you anymore, and haven't been for a long time, while I still have so much longing for you and no way to fill this emptiness. I keep returning to it too, like a lost tooth my tongue searches for over and over.
So beautiful
thank you, glad you liked it!
Gorgeous.
thank you! 🙏
I need the eternal peace
#229...
Anything inspired by Natasha Kinski is performance in this wonderful movie has to be good...
Watching now.
The song must be by that famous guy right... Famous guy who does the guitar music that's so often in movies.....
No actually I can tell it isn't...
It's...softer & more refreshing... ⭐✨⭐~*
Ry Cooder!
This is softer and more refreshing than a Ry Cooder song would be
Uau....he buscado esta maravillosa canción aposta, cantada por el fantástico David Pajo, si no me equivoco y resulta que encuentro un video con la canción de, creo, mi película favorita de todos los tiempos. Impresionante. Gracias.
❤️🙏
🖤🖤
NICE!!!!
Thank You!
That song and Death Note's Solitude (Kodoku) are so close! [ ruclips.net/video/XAFkWDLZ6YM/видео.html ]

By the way it's a cool song, i forgot about it!
Not addicted to drugs vs addicted to daydreaming. Music what are you doing? Escaping reality.....
yes paris texas looks stunning but my god is it slow
Well actually it goes at 23,97 fps, like every other movie.
The fact that nothing seems to happen on the surface doesn't mean nothing it's actually happening: it's a psychological drama, the major plot changes are the ones inside of the characters minds and fellings.
This movie says more in a single longtake of Harry Dean Stanton's face, than a lot of movie directors have done in their whole filmography.
@@Clarencito ha gotem
@@Clarencito I was 24 when this came out in 1984.............I was totally drawn into & absorbed by Travis (Stanton's character!) & the (near) ending, Kinski's slow, heartbreaking realisation that it is actually Travis talking to her behind the mirror, trying to explain why he had to leave.......................Even at 24, I was in tears.......brilliant acting!! Still one of my top 5 films EVER! Acting by Harry Dean Stanton & Natasha Kinski? OSCAR WORTHY! Direction by German director Wim Wenders? SHEER BRILLIANCE! Music by Ry Cooder? UTTER PERFECTION!
