And I've been meaning to request Tom Jones & Sergio Mendes doing "Mas Que Nada" as well. Herb Alpert married one of Sergio Mendes' girl singers, the brunette, Lani Hall. They're still married. Going on 60 years now!
Jorge Ben Jor composed this song in the early 60s. It was a big hit in Brazil, but Sérgio Mendes took it to the USA and made it global. This is video is from the late 70s, I believe. The lyrics go something like this: "oh come on! / get out of my way, I want to get through / because this samba is so lively / and all I want is to dance (samba)".
You’d be hard pressed to find a more-covered song than this - I love them all but grew up on the Sergio Mendez & Brazil ‘66 version so I think I still love that best! I always assumed it meant “much of nothing” but Google says “It could be "more than nothing" or "more than anything" depending on context (if the sentence were negative, etc.) In Brazilian Portuguese slang, mas que nada (literally, "but, that [is] nothing") means "come on" or "no way".

The artist Taj Mahal has a track called “Jorge Ben” on his album “Live and Direct” very nice steel drums on that track and on that album in general. Reading a comment under that track on RUclips, I learned that Jorge Ben also cut a track called “Taj Mahal”!! Check out Taj Mahal sometime! Great blues guy, among other styles. One favorite of mine: “She took the Katy and Left me a Mule to Ride”. (Hint: the Katy is a train .. Kansas-Texas, thus KT)
