Andrea - my sweet wife for 45+ years passed away this past March due to a rare cancer. She was the strongest Christian woman I ever knew and she was also the bravest as she faced her eternity...…. she received her healing "home, in heaven" as the Lord walked her through that valley of the shadow. My heart aches as I miss her but knowing she has finished her race and is without pain and is in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus, gives me a peace that is without understanding! I was suppose to go to their tour in 2019 but I was in the hospital awaiting surgery. One of my goals is to see these guys in concert. I love their music.

I heard this song for the first time the morning shortly before my dad took his last breath. He suffered a stroke right as the COVID pandemic was beginning. We were told that he wouldn't survive and would be admitted to the hospital but because of the virus visitors would be allowed. Finally after hours in the emergency department a doctor asked my mom if she was familiar with home hospice. If we were willing to care for him in his final hours we could take him home and he could be surrounded by family and wouldn't have to die all alone in the hospital. There was no way we were letting dad die alone and brought him home to be surrounded by his family as his tired body finished it's final race here on earth so he could finally be home with The Lord. My dad always did things his way and was a bit of a stubborn man. Being true to himself he proved the Dr's wrong and his final race wasn't a short one. Instead of hours, Dad battled a long week surrounded by his wife, five children and their spouses, and nearly twenty grandchildren! Because of COVID there were supply chain issues and getting comfort medications he needed were impossible so he suffered greatly but fought so hard. In those last hours I just kept whispering to him, "Daddy, you're almost home. You're race is done. Your work here is now done, we will take care of mom it's time for you to rest in God's arms." This song has continued to be a tribute to the "race" our whole family ran that week together to get Dad home. The unity, strength , love and support I experienced will be something I will never forget. Thank you for such a beautiful song at just the perfect time.
This is the song the world needs in this trying period of Coronavirus. Just to know we are close to rapture is so encouraging and we need to do all that we can to get others on our chariots because our time here is near completion and we are almost home.

Three years ago when my husband was diagnosed with colon cancer, I struggled to understand. I went to the store and on my way home, Even If came on the radio. I cried because I knew God was telling me that it was ok. He held us in the palm of His hand. And it has been ok. We will be married 52 years this fall. Thank you for your songs. Andrea - my sweet wife for 45+ years passed away this past March due to a rare cancer. She was the strongest Christian woman I ever knew and she was also the bravest as she faced her eternity...…. she received her healing "home, in heaven" as the Lord walked her through that valley of the shadow. I heard this song for the first time the morning shortly before my dad took his last breath. He suffered a stroke right as the COVID pandemic was beginning. We were told that he wouldn't survive and would be admitted to the hospital but because of the virus visitors would be allowed. Finally after hours in the emergency department a doctor asked my mom if she was familiar with home hospice. If we were willing to care for him in his final hours we could take him home and he could be surrounded by family and wouldn't have to die all alone in the hospital. There was no way we were letting dad die alone and brought him home to be surrounded by his family as his tired body finished it's final race here on earth so he could finally be home with The Lord. My dad always did things his way and was a bit of a stubborn man. Being true to himself he proved the Dr's wrong and his final race wasn't a short one. Instead of hours, Dad battled a long week surrounded by his wife, five children and their spouses, and nearly twenty grandchildren! Because of COVID there were supply chain issues and getting comfort medications he needed were impossible so he suffered greatly but fought so hard. In those last hours I just kept whispering to him, "Daddy, you're almost home. You're race is done. Your work here is now done, we will take care of mom it's time for you to rest in God's arms." This song has continued to be a tribute to the "race" our whole family ran that week together to get Dad home. The unity, strength , love and support I experienced will be something I will never forget. Thank you for such a beautiful song at just the perfect time.

Three years ago when my husband was diagnosed with colon cancer, I struggled to understand. I went to the store and on my way home, Even If came on the radio. I cried because I knew God was telling me that it was ok. He held us in the palm of His hand. And it has been ok. We will be married 52 years this fall. Thank you for your songs.
