I just tried this, and it's so unbelievably good!!! I cant believe it tastes just like butter!! I used 2 tablespoons of olive oil instead of 1 tablespoon of avocado oil and 1 tablespoon of olive oil, coz I didn't have it on hand and it still worked!! :) thank you so much

1 cup (128 g) coconut oil. (use a refined version, if you don’t like the coconut taste)
½ cup (64 g) unsweetened soy milk. (I use sprouted soy milk that I make)
2 TBSP (30 g) each of extra virgin olive oil & avocado oil (you can use another kind of oil too, but this combination makes a great taste)
2 TSP (10 g) each of apple cider vinegar, and nutritional yeast.
    1 TSP salt (5 g)

Donna Seamon the Yeast ruins it Nutritional yeast is so over used..i love it but its very overwhelming in taste and odor
Most use Yeast that has synthetic B- vites added
Foods Alive company makes one with our synthetics
I find Newbie vegans over use it CONSTANTLY
      Im old school.Vegan
      Since a teenager
Im also a professional head Chef...mostly always worked
vegan BUT have had to do vegetarian for certian jobs that ment cheese n milk and youghart dairy only.
This is missing lethin granules which are best if ground to a powder for blending better gives a better mouth feel & body subtle taste and nice yellow tint and vitaman E..a bit of a natural preservative I'd divide this finished product up into small amounts and freeze what your not imedietly going 2b using within 2 weeks
Avocado oil will last a long time in fridge if worried about price it's saving you money since making your own is Way cheaper than buying Vegan spread..or " butter"
I'd leave out salt if your going to use it for baking Mark it stored in freezer separate in 1/4 of each batch
I'd lower the salt anyway Salts on the table..too much sodium kills taste buds for other food your using it with my personal feeling using less about 2 MUCH salt

Hi mam. I really want to transition to full veganism as currently I still consume dairy but no other animal products...lately my body hasn't reacting well to soy can i sub it put with another plant based milk eg almond/ cashew?

Yes I do understand, and a number of people have commented on this option and a few have even tried out other milks, with at least one report of success for almond milk. Soy has a lot of protein so it works very well, but I was glad to hear some success with other milks too. I need to do some experimenting myself to figure it out for sure, and I look forward to hearing how it goes.

Made this today and the taste is absolutely amazing, never was a big margarine fan but I might become one of this recipe! The only changes I made were using an omega-3 oil mix instead of the avocado oil and halving the amount of nutritional yeast. Didn’t use refined coconut oil either, I am honestly surprised at how good such a simple recipe came out to be!

I blended and mine for almost 2min (in a vitamix) and it looked a little separated.... almost clumpy. I put it in the freezer so we'll see how it works after freezing. Try a teaspoon of lemon juice or maybe half teaspoon for added flavor. I've tried different vegan butter recipes. One with the Apple cider vinegar with added lemon juice actually tasted some better. I like your recipe. Avocado oil is very oily and I like it, but you get it on your fingers..its a little harder to wash off than other cooking oils. The avocado fruit actually tastes some buttery and some like it on toast.
I'd like to try Brazil nut milk one day in making butter, as it is oily milk, but good. I recently mixed Brazil nuts with almonds and made a milk and the good thing is that it did not separate like almond milk does by itself.

For those who have a problem with dissolving mixture after blending. You still can rescue it, so don't throw away. After blending put the mix into freezer for 15 min. When it solidified a little bit blend it again but with a hand blender. Any left over liquid (plant milk) just pour away. Put again to the freezer for some time and finally give to the refigerator. It s ready to eat.
And GFK - if you feel inspiraton you can give us some more datails like, what tempture oils have got or what power has got your blender. The butter tastes very nice and recipe looks easy, but I have made it twice, and mixture get separated 🤔

Thank you for your tips. I do exactly the same I show in the video and it always turns out the same.
All the oil I use is at room temperature-- right out of the bottle. However, I heat coconut oil first if it's solid, but I let it cools to room temperature before using it.
As for a blender, I use a vitamix high speed blender and blend it at number 6-7.

    Citric acid as a preservative

I disolve the salt and acid in the carrot juice and add this to the slightly cooled oil mixture and then I blend with a stick blender as I'm cooling the pot in cold water with ice to get an emultion.
