This is my first PC (And with Windows 11) OneDrive is basically PC Cancer. OneDrive started pesting its was full (I never asked you to even use it) So I go to OneDrive and delete some files and I notice that, every time I delete a file from the cloud backup, it's deleted from the actual Harddisk. FUN! - So I decided to turn if off. Now though it keeps on pestering me every EFFING 5 minutes about not being able to make backups while also pestering me every EFFING 5 minutes about upgrading cloud storage. That means about every 2/3 minutes a OneDrive message pops up. It does seem to get less over time. - The other problem I noticed is that MANY of the folder it touched on your Harddisk(s) are now considered Online-Folders?! (If you want to move the folder to the trash it tells you it'll be deleted instead of moved) - You have to make sure you didn't accidentally install things on OneDrive otherwise they disappear when you disconnect from OneDrive.

Doesn't work.... 0:23 when I hover on the ONE DRIVE...nothing happens. I right click on the ONE DRIVE....and get that listing "popup" but nothing happens , when I right click it again.

My OneDrive I was never signed into it and it used to be greyed out with a slash mark across the cloud icon, but now all of the sudden the OneDrive cloud icon turned blue with a slash mark still across it and when I hover over the icon in hidden icon taskbar it says that I'm still not signed in. I don't understand why the cloud icon turned blue did they update it?
You have to go search settings on the windows task bar. Search in the settings back up. Click on one drive and you have three folder types that you can choose to back up or not.

One drive sucks. You should at least have to choose what you want to out in there. I was downloading a bunch of stuff and all of a sudden. I get a message saying my one drive is full. And I didn't want to delete all the stuff I just downloaded. Stupid
The best way to deal with this problem, BEFORE you put any files on your windows 11 computer, is to go into control panel and UNINSTALL OneDrive. Problem solved.
Would be nice if for once these computer whiz kids knew what they were talking about. I did not have one single thing he had talked about in my Windows PC. I did find Microsoft Onedrive but was not allowed to uninstall it. I had some personal emails between me and my lawyers that Microsoft stole without my permission into that OneDrive malware scam. I never once gave my permission for Microsoft to steal personal information between me and my lawyers. I never even signed up for Onedrive.

But by unlinking you couldn't use one drive because it disappears.
I just want my file not to syn to one drive unless I want to.
