Robust Weight Capacities for Optimal Safety
The 462APAST, 462CPAST, and 462DPAST models support up to 500 lbs, providing ample capacity for a wide range of patients.
For even greater needs, the 462HMCST model offers a remarkable 800 lb weight capacity, ensuring the utmost in safety and durability.
Enhanced Mobility and Safety with 8-Inch Tente Casters
All models come standard with 8-inch Tente casters, coupled with a central brake and steering system designed for easy, safe maneuverability. The red pedals are used for braking, while the green pedals control steering. These pedals are conveniently located at all four wheels, ensuring that staff can quickly and easily secure the stretcher when necessary. It's important to always lock the caster braking system and ensure the side rails are in the upright, locked position whenever the patient is not in transport or is left unattended.
Effortless Steering and Navigation
Engage the stretcher’s steering mode by fully depressing the green pedal, which deploys the fifth wheel for enhanced maneuverability. To release the fifth wheel or disengage the steering lock, simply press down on any of the four red pedals until they are parallel to the floor, allowing all four casters to rotate and swivel freely.
Adjustable Height for Patient and Caregiver Comfort
The stretcher height is easily adjustable by pressing the pump pedal to the floor until the desired height is reached. For additional adjustments to the patient surface top, press down on the two release pedals simultaneously until the litter reaches the required height.
Patient Comfort with Trendelenburg and Reverse Trendelenburg Positions
Each 462 Horizon Series stretcher with Airglide rails allows for 16 degrees of Trendelenburg and 16 degrees of reverse Trendelenburg positioning, enhancing patient safety and comfort. To achieve Trendelenburg, press down on the release pedal closest to the head-end until the desired angle is reached. For Reverse Trendelenburg, use the pedal closest to the foot-end.
Easy Fowler Positioning
Activate the fowler position by gripping the fowler frame tube and the red release lever, then lift the fowler to the desired height. Lower it slightly to engage the ratchet, and ensure it is locked by applying slight downward pressure. To stow the fowler, pull the red release handle toward the outer edge of the back section and lower the fowler into its stowed position.
Adjustable Knee Flex for Enhanced Patient Support
Raising or lowering the knee flex is simple-flip the crank upward and rotate it clockwise to raise, or counter-clockwise to lower, until the desired position is reached. Then, return the crank handle to its original position.
Convenient IV Pole and Side Rail Design
The standard IV pole is strategically located on the right center of the cross frame at the head end of the stretcher for easy access. For maximum patient safety, the stretchers are equipped with full-length side rails that are higher and longer, ensuring safe patient transfers with zero transfer gaps. The Airglide rails can be easily raised from under the patient surface-simply pull up until the rail locks into place. To lower the rail, pull the red tab located under the patient surface at the head or foot end and lower the rail completely.
Easy Maintenance and Modern Design
The 462 Horizon Series stretchers feature an easy-to-clean thermoformed base cover with an integrated oxygen tank holder and ample storage space. Additionally, our stainless steel retractable side rails with rail caps offer a sleek, updated look, combining functionality with modern aesthetics.
