Unless you withdraw your consent to be governed, formally, you must fear the tax collectors or rick prison, fines, loss of your assets, and even your life if you resist.
Not tithing carries none of those problems.
I believe the tithing requirement only applied to Samaritans.

What kind of nonsense is this?? You can't "withdraw your consent to be governed"! That would never hold up in court. You'll just go to jail for tax fraud.

      @@selohcin Who says I can't?
I already have (formally and in writing) and it put an INSTANT stop on all back tax collections FOR THE PAST SEVEN YEARS. For the State I dwell in anyway.
Holding off on the Feds to see how much further their TYRANNY will go (and to support the military).
I have the absolute right to withdraw my CONSENT. Otherwise I am a slave to a dictatorship.
But wasn't SLAVERY abolished by the 13th amendment?
      SLAVES cannot say NO.
You might want to look up the definition of tax fraud. It isn't what you think.
Perhaps you might want to read the Declaration of Independence? And then the 9th Amendment to the US Constitution?
Tax fraud is lying to get out of paying taxes. I didn't lie.
I do not accept the government's offer to contract and without prejudice, I reserve all rights UCC 1-308).
      I also state Non Assumpsit.
In Jefferson’s words: “Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the CONSENT of the governed.”
“A free people claim their rights, as derived from the laws of nature, and not as the gift of their chief magistrate.” - Thomas Jefferson
*“You have rights antecedent to all earthly governments; rights that cannot be repealed or restrained by human laws; right derived from the Great Legislator of the Universe.”
      - John Adams*
“The whole of the Bill (of Rights) is a declaration of the right of the people at large or considered as individuals …. It establishes some rights of the individual as unalienable and which consequently, no majority has a right to deprive them of.”
      - Albert Gallatin, New York Historical Society, October 7, 1789
“To consider the judges as the ultimate arbiters of all constitutional questions [is] a very dangerous doctrine indeed, and one which would place us under the despotism of an oligarchy.”
      - Thomas Jefferson letter to William C. Jarvis, 1820
Send in or file the right paperwork and you are income tax free. Property tax free too.
However, avoiding sales tax is far more difficult.
