How to tie a Sheep Shank Knot

A sheep shank hitch or knot is used to by pass a part of a lenght of rope that is damaged without cutting the rope. You may need the bulk of the length or not have a knife handy when a rope is damaged. Using a sheep shank knot allows you to bypass the damaged section of the rope without cutting it or shortening the rope.
